Happy 29th Birthday to the very handsome and extremely talented Japanese singer, dancer and award-winning actor, Yuta Kishi, also known as KC!👏🎂🎉🌟🎇👑❤️
#YutaKishi found fame as the lead singer of the hugely popular group King & Prince, Japan’s top-selling Act in 2023. His popularity continued to grow, after becoming the lead singer of the new star group #Number_i with #ShoHirano and #JingujiYuta, also former members of King & Prince. The group's debut single, #GOAT, was released on New Year’s Day, 2024, and shot to #1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100, dominating airplay and views. On April 14, Number_i brought the house down at #Coachella2024, performing "GOAT" which went straight to No. 1 on the US iTunes hip-hop chart the next day! On May 27, they released #BON, blending hip-hop with traditional Japanese elements. The song reached #2 on YouTube’s Global Music Video Chart! On August 28, their latest single #INZM debuted at #1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100. Their first self titled album, #Number_1, debuted at #26 on the Worldwide iTunes Album chart and showcases Yuta's amazing "rainbow" voice.

Yuta is also a very talented actor and has starred in several films including 'gmen_movie' (2023), for which he won the Nikkan Sports Film Award for Best Actor, voted by the fans, after performing his own stunts.

Yuta is also into charity, and wrote the lyrics for #BeOnYourSide with proceeds going to support children affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake.

#YutaKishi found fame as the lead vocalist and former leader of King & Prince, helping the group become one of Japan’s top-selling acts with multiple No. 1 singles, million-selling releases, Japan Gold Disc Awards, and huge Oricon yearly sales. After forming Number_i in 2023 with Sho Hirano and Yuta Jinguji, both former members of King & Prince, Juta became even more famous! He is renowned for his incredible voice which flows from rapid-fire rap to emotional purity, in his self-composed emotional songs performed with just a guitar that touches the heart. Yuta greatly contributed to the rapid success of Number_i and its debut single “GOAT” which was released on New Year’s Day, 2024, and shot to #1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100, dominating airplay and views.

On April 14, Number_i blew the crowd away at Coachella 2024, performing a Remix version of "GOAT" with Chinese Superstar Jackson Wang, which went straight to No. 1 on the US iTunes hip-hop chart the next day! On May 27, 2024 they released their first album 'No. O: Ring' powered by its title track "BON", which blended hip-hop with traditional Japanese elements. The song reached No. 1 on the June 5 Oricon Weekly Digital Singles chart with 60,120 downloads in its first week, and hit #2 on YouTube’s Worldwide Music Video Chart! 'No. O: Ring' reached No. 1 on the June 5 Oricon Weekly Digital Albums chart, with 31,804 downloads in the first week! Their 4th single, "INZM", released on August 28, 2024, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100. Their first self titled album, 'Number_1', released on September 23, 2024, debuted at #26 on the Worldwide iTunes Album chart and No. 1 on the Japan Hot Albums chart, selling 412,442 units. It showcased Yuta's amazing "rainbow" voice! On May 19, 2025, Number_i released their 3rd EP, 'GOD_i', powered by their 5th single of the same name! The album debuted at No. 19 on the Worldwide iTunes Album chart, also reaching No. 116 on US iTunes and No. 155 on the Worldwide Apple Music Album chart. It debuted at #3 on the Japan Comb. Albums chart. In 2025, Number_i delivered a powerful performance at the Head in the Clouds festival in Los Angeles (May 31 - Jun 1) that mesmerized the crowd. Their 6th single "U.M.A.", topped the Billboard Japan Hot 100 Downloads chart, and ranked No. 50 on the Worldwide iTunes Song chart, reaching No. 58 on the YouTube Global Music Video chart! A 2nd track, 'NUrZ', debuted at No. 63 on the Worldwide iTunes song chart and climbed to No. 10 on the YouTube Global Video chart! Their 2nd full album Number_11 was released on September 22, 2025, and reached No.18 on the Worldwide iTunes Album chart!

On May 18, 2026, Number_i announced they had signed with Atlantic Records in the U.S., marking a major step toward their global expansion. On September 1, 2026 the group took part in the ceremonial first pitch at a Los Angeles Dodgers game, with Yuta Kishi, who has experience playing youth baseball, taking the mound as the pitcher. He threw an impressive 101 km/h (63 mph) strike. On September 23, 2026, Number_i released their new triple A-side single, “REBON / BUGS LIFE / DIGITAL GIRL.” The single debuted at #8 on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart, making it the Top New Entry, with all three songs charting on the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart. In Japan, the single debuted at #1 on the iTunes Album Chart, while Number_i dominated the Japan iTunes Song Chart with six songs in the Top 8, including “DIGITAL GIRL” at #1.

Number_i are a Powerhouse live touring act as All 3 can really sing! On October 24, 2026 – January 17, 2027, Number_i’s world tour will begin its Japan leg. The tour will visit Japan’s five major domes including Sapporo, Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, and Fukuoka. The dates for the international shows have yet to be announced, but fans are already getting excited!

Yuta, as part of Number_i, has already won several Music Awards! The group won the GQ Men of the Year award in 2024! At the 2025 MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN the group won 2 fan-voted Awards including 'Best of Listeners' Choice: Japanese Song' for "GOAT" and 'the Oshi-Katsu Request Artist of the Year'. In 2026, Yuta and Number_i won JAPAN’s Best of Listeners’ Choice Japanese Song for the 2nd year in a row with “GOD_i.”

Yuta is also a very talented actor. His roles in film and TV dramas include Toi in 'Oniichan, Gacha' for which he won the TVnavi Drama of the Year Award for Best New Actor in 2015, Yūsuke Kaji in 'Defying Kurosaki-kun', Shu Maiko in 'Nisekoi', Arata Fukazawa in 'Night Doctor' and Inokichi Myojin in 'Hissatsu Shigotonin'! In 2023 he won the Nikkan Sports Film Award for Best Actor, voted by the fans, after performing his own stunts in 'gmen_movie'!

Kishi has also been endorsed by several brands, including becoming an Ambassador for Hyatt Hotels. On January 30, 2025, he was named Brand ambassador for Banana Republic Japan and the next day, he was the Main Star at the opening ceremony for the brand's Toranomon Hills store. He was also included in the brand's Spring 2025 collection campaign "Inspiring the modern explorer"! He has continued appearing in Banana Republic Japan campaigns through Fall/Holiday 2025 and Spring/Summer 2026. He is still the World of Hyatt Japan ambassador and has kept that going with later campaign films in 2025 and 2026. Number_i as a group have also stayed on as Sekkisei (KOSE) global brand muses since November 2024, with new CMs into 2026!

Yuta Kishi’s public charity work centers on disaster relief through Number_i's agency, TOBE’s Act for HOPE / to HEROes project. After the January 1, 2024 Noto Peninsula earthquake Yuta posted a personal message offering support through entertainment. Number_i then asked if they could help. They were asked to write lyrics for a charity song. “Be on Your side”, released digitally in March 2024 and on CD in May 2024. A Tokyo Dome charity concert followed in August 2024. The project closed 31 March 2025 with music and event proceeds bringing in ¥97.3 million, plus ¥50 million from TOBE, for a total donation of ¥147,306,798 to Noto earthquake and Oku-Noto flood recovery. Ishikawa Prefecture received the funds in May 2025. The same song was reused in 2026 after the Kumamoto earthquake. The 5 member trainee group wink under TOBE, recorded a charity CD of “Be on Your side,” and TOBE set up donation boxes at concerts and fan meetings, with proceeds again going to relief.

Yuta has come so far, from King & Prince leader to Number_i’s core singer after leaving Johnny’s in 2023. “GOAT” hit No. 1, then Yuta and the group exploded in popularity at Coachella, with more chart-toppers, a No. 1 Japan album, GQ and fan awards, plus acting wins and first-in-Japan deals with Banana Republic and Hyatt. What sets Yuta apart is his range from rap to a clean high note, stunt-ready acting, and his lyrics especially those for the Noto charity song “Be on Your side,” which later helped Kumamoto too. He is not just popular. He's brilliant on stage, on screen, and when a song needs to do more than just chart.......
