@greeborunner Another thing I like to do is listen to Spanish music on my commute and then sing along to the songs at home, much to my partner's disdain.
@greeborunner I've just started using a free app called Hello Talk. You can send messages (including voice recordings) to people who speak the language you want to learn. I also like watching shows I've already seen in Spanish because I am familiar with the scenes so can just focus on decoding
@BootstrapCook Badala Zamana by Zohra. It's extra fun because of this roller skating tortoise that I cannot help thinking about every time I hear it: https://t.co/a3t3e7S42m
With less than two months to world autism awareness/acceptance day/week/month this is a sincere call out for campaigns, celebrations, talks, writing and basically anything about autistic people to be led by autistic people.
@TheStudentLeads My friend stopped working weekends when he calculated the hours he worked in a year for the salary was barely minimum wage. Now he asks his colleague to cover a lesson if he's behind on marking and she does the same.
@Miss__Fury@thatteacherguy_@MrTs_NQTs I have a couple friends teaching in international schools in Shanghai. They started straight after graduating. I think you might be able to use other teaching experience in your favour, e.g. working as a TA.
@PreviouslyLiz Sorry for the lack of structure in my responses and inevitable typos (omw to work soon) but I just have to say 'Loving it Vegan' has some really great and easy recipes. π /3
@PreviouslyLiz really well when making cheese-style sauces. There's a website called 'Accidentally Vegan' that I find useful and the 'Non-Judgy Vegans' Facebook page. /2
@Gaiash @PreviouslyLiz Nomo chocolate is my favourite. I'd also recommend Cadbury's Plant Bar and Rhythm 108. Not a fan of vegan cheese but Applewood worked for me with hot foods like lasagne. I really like Tyne Chease but it's expensive so only have it as a treat! Engevita yeast flakes (nooch) work /1
