Been thinking about this a lot today… seasons 4-7 are going to be peak television and people that have only watched the movies and not read the books are going to feel like they are watching a brand new story😂😂

They never met characters like Peeves, Winky, Charlie Weasley, Ludo Bagman and the movies left so many important things like the Gaunt family or Lilys letter to Sirius. The movies barely touch the surface of the books.

for everyone saying the HBO series is “unnecessary”… yeah, I get it.
the first two movies were pretty faithful,but from Prisoner of Azkaban onward, the books became way too big to fit comfortably into a single movie.

that’s why this series actually has a reason to exist,we could finally get Peeves,the full Hogwarts Quidditch story, S.P.E.W. and Hermione’s house-elf campaign,more of Tom Riddle’s past in Half-Blood Prince,Harry’s actual preparation for the Triwizard Tournament and the much more detailed third task in the maze.

the movies gave us an iconic Harry Potter story, but they left out A LOT…the books had enough material that you could practically build several more movies from what was cut.
