@MrsThorsenSMS @SchwabSMS@stratford_IC I would choose "the after math" because this book is mainly about what happened after the shooting and who it effected. The book surrounded valerie's life, school, and family out of the shooting.
@MrsThorsenSMS @SchwabSMS@stratford_IC Someone to take the artist role where Valerie painted, would be Lauren Daigle. Because Valerie described her as, " welcoming and giving advice here and there to the artist in the room." Lauren Daigle send messages through her music and is known for being down to earth.
@MrsThorsenSMS @stratford_IC@SchwabSMS I'm asking my author, why didn't the story didn't include Nicks point of view? when the author wrote, "his eyes seemed blurred" I wondered what nick was thinking about throughout the entire shooting.
@BriannaH_93 @MrsThorsenSMS @stratford_IC@SchwabSMS I think she is already slowly seeing that, and seeing that maybe her parents superstitions were right about nick.
@MiaS_9393 @MrsThorsenSMS @stratford_IC@SchwabSMS I think she has a very people pleasing personality, so she will adjust what she has previously believed to someone else's wants. She puts other people in front of her.
@93Autumnr @MrsThorsenSMS @stratford_IC@SchwabSMS I don't think she deserves it, but she did let herself change according to what nick was interested in.
@CharliseB1 @MrsThorsenSMS @stratford_IC@SchwabSMS yes, I think this whole story is about Valerie finding herself after she was been mentally captured by Nick. She had changed herself to be what nick is like and find similar interests. I think throughout this story she'll become more independent, and decide who she wants to be.
@maxd_93 @MrsThorsenSMS @stratford_IC@SchwabSMS Yea, I would. This story is more of what was affected because of the shooting and less the shooting itself. So if you are interested in those type of stories I would definitely recommend it!
@MiaS_9393 @MrsThorsenSMS @stratford_IC@SchwabSMS well someone with an obsession with school shootings, think very different from someone who has a healthy mindset. I think the author would include how nick felt about the people on the hate list, and how far we would take his actions influenced by anger.
@MrsThorsenSMS @SchwabSMS@stratford_IC Pg187, "Getting on with her life is important. But right now it may be way more important to put the feelings out there, deal with them, and find a way to be okay with all that's happened." I loved this quote because that's what the book is about, Valerie finding herself.
@MrsThorsenSMS @stratford_IC@SchwabSMS pt 2. " I just knew nick was hanging out with him. " that's funny because his parents sure know a lot about you. " Valerie was often just charmed by nick, and she didn't even know about his friendships.
@MrsThorsenSMS @stratford_IC@SchwabSMS Pt 1. I chose Valerie because I know a lot about her personality and hows she's like. I would label Valerie as Vanilla if she were an ice cream. Vanilla is usually covered in topping or with absolutely nothing. Valerie is a person who is ofter manipulated by others.
@MrsThorsenSMS @stratford_IC@SchwabSMS I think that author doesn't want the book to only be about the shooting. On the other hand, it would be great if the author added a chapter for Nick. In the chapter I would include what he felt was going to happen after the shooting, and in general go more into depth.
@MrsThorsenSMS @stratford_IC@SchwabSMS I think for instance, if this all tok place in the city not as much people would know Valerie was involved with the shooting.
