i have a friend who’s self made rich-rich. guy goes completely off the radar most days. nobody knows where he physically is. bali? london? dubai? miami?
posts next to nothing. then randomly one story appears. a single espresso on a marble counter, receipt in a language you can’t read. or him having tea somewhere in the mountains. then gone again for weeks 😂
meet him in person and he’s in a plain tshirt and slippers. no logo, no watch, nothing.
when you’ve actually made it there’s nothing to prove and no one left to impress.
lesson in that.
You don't need more friends. You need a life.
When I moved to a new city in my 30s I had zero social life.
I didn’t wait for people to come to me. I went where my interests were and made it a point to talk to everyone.
Raves. Yoga. Improv comedy. Dance classes. Run clubs.
I got dates through all of them. Made lifelong friends through all of them.
If you want a social life the formula is simple:
Find where your interests already live in a social setting. Show up consistently. Introduce yourself to everyone.
Take on a leadership role when you can.
The connections follow naturally. They always do.
dude computers are actually so fucking insane when you really think about it. we literally figured out how to write some fake-ass rules called code and somehow convinced rocks to follow them. like actual rocks. sand, melted, purified, carved into tiny pathways where electricity just flows in patterns. that’s it. that’s the whole magic.
and yet from that we get operating systems, compilers, kernels, networks, distributed systems, machine learning models, entire virtual worlds running inside other virtual worlds. billions of tiny electrical decisions per second, all because we defined some abstract logic.
humans basically invented a language of instructions and taught matter itself to execute it.

He stares at the old photos.
Almost texts her.
Doesn’t.
His friend says:
“Bro just move on.”
He laughs.
“Yeah. Working on it.”
He misses her.
He misses the version of himself that felt wanted.
He picks up his phone again.
Types:
“I miss you.”
Stops.
Deletes it.
Instead, he puts the phone down and goes for a walk.
It doesn’t fix everything.
But he didn’t go back to what hurt him.
That’s progress too.
The whole “nobody wants to work anymore” line is so tired.
It’s not that people don’t want to work.
They just don’t want to:
• Spend 10+ hours a day away from home for a paycheck that barely covers rent
• Sit in traffic longer than they see their kids
• Be on call 24/7 for a company that would replace them in a week
• Get praised as “family” and laid off by email
• Do 50 hours of labor for 40 hours of pay and zero security
People aren’t allergic to effort.
Fix the system. Not the workers.
If masculinity is so toxic, then kids growing up without dads would be better off than those with them.
But they aren't, they are more depressed, get worse grades, more suicidal, incarcerated more & have higher instances of teen pregnancies.
We need more masculinity, not less.
Men, you are not responsible for women's promiscuity.
Toxic feminism is. It taught her to be promiscuous. But it lied to her, truthfully slutty women are undesirable for anything long term.
Let her live with her poor choices, it's not your job to save her.
Your great grand dad got a 20 yr old chaste virgin that called him 'her husband,' that brought him 5 kids and said:
"Look, I baked you cookies."
"Have you eaten yet?"
"I'm proud of you"
Today, men get a 30 yr old woman that calls him 'partner,' is run through, had 2 abortions, doesn't want kids, and says:
"Look, I got a degree studying bugs, aren't you proud? Now take me out to eat."
What went wrong?
