once just once I want kr fans to experience global melon and they will know how much better their ticketing is alreadyโฆ. international fans who want to go to kr concerts arenโt your competition for tickets
A group just proved this method doesnโt work in preventing the Chinese resellers. Global reservation hasnโt even started and you already have all these resellers.
A fair ticketing system shouldnโt exclude fans based on nationality ๐
And letโs be realโฆ lots of K-fans travel abroad for concerts too and they arenโt excluded from tix sales just bc theyโre Korean ๐คก
Tickets go to whoever has the luck, time and money to get them. Period.
The issue is not whether Korean fans deserve access to tickets, but whether all paying membership holders are being treated fairly under the same membership. Giving priority based on citizenship rather than membership status would contradict the concept of a global fan club
This policy is just disadvantageous and discriminatory for actual international fans with memberships who now faces an additional limitation in fully enjoying their membership benefits, which is genuinely upsetting for fans of idols who rarely or never do tours overseas.
As someone who's experienced both sides of korean and global website, first thing first, the global website barely even works in the first place. There's already a HUGE advantage using the korean website which you can only join if you have Korean residency informations.
I understand that they're doing this to give local fans a better chance, especially considering the insane amount of bot scalper tickets lately. However, most of those bot scalper tickets are mostly bought through korean website in the first place.
Also, if they're doing it as a "consideration" for fans, then they should figure something out for local fans during concerts abroad too as we paid for the same benefits. Yes, it depends on the local event organizers abroad and all, but as a company who's selling GLOBAL memberships to GLOBAL fans from ALL over the world, then they should be able to work out something with the local organizers since they're obviously the decision makers.
I think it's unfair to impose a disadvantage on certain group of fans in disguise of "consideration" when they're also the ones ALWAYS keeping the memberships available for purchase throughout the whole year instead of making it limited, which allows the ticket scalpers to gain easy access since they can just easily buy the memberships right before the ticketing.
Maybe you guys should be figuring out a fairer membership system and how to handle the ticket scalpers and bots instead of whatever this is ๐คทโโ๏ธ
