Medical AI PhD. Working in China hospitals. Speak and read Mandarin/Uyghur. I explain China’s latest AI & medical papers simply. YouTube: Dr Luke in China
For Uyghur marriage culture, i had to organise something called “chong chay” which means “big tea”. It’s meant to be where my family meet her family but of course mine couldn’t come, so we did a video call.
It is a pretty expensive event as you can see by all the gold and money (there was a lot more not shown in the video haha). I also got clothes for the family members who attended.
Of course i don’t mind - that money goes straight back to us. Her parents will buy us things for the future with it and they also got me some gifts too so it was a really beautiful moment👏
The oldest member of the family gave a speech to me in Uyghur telling me her expectations and after which she welcomed me to the family. It’s super important as it’s the event where the family decides to accept you or not so i had to practice a lot of Uyghur for this!!!
China are miles ahead of @elonmusk’s Neuralink! I just made a YouTube video on an area im researching with two of the biggest foreign experts on Brain Chips. They spoke about China’s rise in terms of efficiency and technology compared to the West:

Why? A Chinese company Neuracle received the world’s first commercial approval for an implantable brain chip designed to help paralysed patients regain hand-grasping ability using a brain-controlled glove.
Specialists from 42 Chinese hospitals have also received training meaning this is now going to roll out and be used for everyone soon!
Meanwhile, Neuralink still hasn’t received regulatory approval to commercially sell its brain implants.. its technology is still all in clinical trials, yet the media always talk about them not Chinese ones😂
