@nathandunne31#MUS2011W21 I think that with a larger platform in the states Canadian musicians could be equally as popular worldwide as American or British artists.
I believe it’s necessary for there to be a quota of Canadian content, without it Canadian stars would not get the recognition they rightfully deserve #MUS2011W21
@brookesquiress I agree Brooke, there are times I do rather acoustic versions of songs, I find some times they are better then the originals, and this is something records don’t include sometimes. #MUS2011W21
I personally disagree with Walds statement I think a lot of people would prefer to see music performed live, especially if you live here in NL where many artists do not come here to perform. When they do come here it’s very entertaining.#MUS2011W21
“Shlock” music is a white washed version of original music. While these songs may have value for some, I believe the negative impacts of stolen music is wrong and doesn’t give enough credit to the original creator and strips the original of its primary intentions. #MUS2011W21
@ekphelan I agree, if a white artist remakes an original song then the original creator of that song should get a percentage of whatever that white artist makes. It’s not fair for a white artist to get ahead for doing a lot less work. #MUS2011W21
@JeanRobertDesr2 I agree! Many artists now of days can make more money “reworking” older music than the original. I believe this shows a lack of talent and just a scheme for an artist to make more money for themselves, not concerned about the music they make #MUS2011W21
@CoryJon37320730 I agree that Ray Charles use of vocal techniques are what made him stand out and showcased his passion. His influence on artists today can't be understated. #mus2011w21
I believe that Ray Charles used a breaking voice to have the constant attention of his listeners, it also exemplifies his masterful control of his voice, going from super high notes to a lower tone. This song is what Kanye Wes used for inspiration for “Gold Digger”#mus2011W21
@JoshAdams131@dshortall11#MUS2011W21 I agree with you, the ease of downloading songs at the click of the button continues to make people feel connected to current music and possible events occurring throughout the world as some musicians do make songs about global events.
@Makayla95815534 I agree with you, it seems like with everything else if you don’t have the newest technology you are degraded and put in the category of not having enough money as ones who cannot afford the newest AirPods or music streaming services. I used to carry my CD player in my pocket
Since the creation of the iPod/iPhones old school listening devices have essentially become obsolete. With the ease of downloading the newest songs on release day with the push of a button, has slowly crippled the stores that sell cds/records etc. Such as HMV. #mus2011W21
