CAUGHT ON HIDDEN CAMERA: Former Project Veritas Board Member @MatthewTyrmand Admits To Being An FBI/SDNY Informant Against Conservative Organizations, James O’Keefe, Threatens to Murder O'Keefe, And Puts Rifle Bullets In O'Keefe's Heart On The Front Of His Book “Breakthrough”. Tyrmand Shared He Can Lose His Brokerage License And Face Criminal Civil Torts For Violating His NDA & Leaking Information About The Company “Petrogen”
“I would kill him [O’Keefe]. Because he is one of the most evil people I've ever known.”
“I have a thousand sources in the DOJ and CIA I talk to all the time.”
“I've already fed the Southern District tons of sh*t on him [O’Keefe].”
The undercover journalist met with Matthew Tyrmand, a Former Project Veritas Board Member to uncover the truth behind my removal from Project Veritas….
On February 6, 2023, I was indefinitely suspended by Project Veritas, the organization I founded out of my father’s garage while on probation at age 25 and built into a 75-person, $25 million investigative newsroom exposing corruption from 2009 to 2023. It is a story so bizarre that, to this day, people still don’t understand why it happened. But today we finally got some answers.
Tyrmand has long denied working against me but finally admitted on hidden camera he served as an SDNY informant providing information about me and also admitted to acting as an FBI informant.
My team and I received violent threats from Tyrmand. I saw with my own eyes bullet holes in my book through my heart, and he threatened that he wanted to kill me.
Tyrmand advises and solicits investments for several companies, including some in pharmaceuticals, and did so while on the Project Veritas board, including Cathaid Inc., Leicester, MTTC1 Venture, Matt Tyrmand LLC, and ClaimFound. His BrokerCheck report shows he is employed by Bradley Woods & Co. Ltd. in New York.
At some point, denial collapses when you can see their lips moving as they admit to it.

Here is just another example of the client AND us gig workers being screwed over by @Taskrabbit unwillingness to fix this issue. A waste of everyones time when it could be such a simple fix
Hey @TaskRabbit — we need to talk. As a full-time Tasker, I just had one of the most blatant violations of worker rights I’ve ever experienced on your platform. A thread:
This isn’t just bad policy — it’s exploitation. If you’ve been hit with a bogus violation and had money taken from you, reply or DM me. We deserve better.
Gig workers shouldn’t be punished for setting boundaries. We shouldn’t be gaslit by the very platforms we keep alive. We definitely shouldn’t have our money stolen with no recourse.
@TaskRabbit — this is wage theft. You’re penalizing Taskers for doing exactly what we’re allowed to do: set fair terms for our labor and get paid accordingly.
I reached out to support with proof from the chat, expecting a real conversation. Instead, I got nothing but vague replies and evasions. No one will explain how honoring a pre-agreed minimum is a “violation.”
No warning. No investigation. No chance to explain. Just a straight-up clawback of my legitimately earned money, even though the client agreed to my rate before the job even started.
But here’s where it gets really messed up: Immediately after sending that email, TaskRabbit manually deducted one full hour of pay AND the client’s tip from my earnings.
Then I got another email from TaskRabbit accusing me of “circumventing the payment system.” No specifics. Just a copy-paste message that I’ve seen way too many times.
I recently completed a TV mounting job. The client agreed to my policy in writing. I finished the job, got paid, received a tip, and moved on with my day.
I have a two-hour minimum for all jobs, clearly stated on my profile. Before I even step foot on a site, I confirm with the client that they understand and agree to it. No gray area. No confusion.
Hey @TaskRabbit — we need to talk. As a full-time Tasker, I’ve just had one of the most frustrating experiences on your platform that blatantly disrespects worker rights and transparency. A thread:
How is it a violation of terms to uphold a clearly stated minimum rate that the client agrees to? I’m not scamming anyone. I’m doing the work and being transparent every step of the way.
I reached out to support, expecting a quick resolution. Instead, I’ve gotten nothing but dodges, silence, and scripted responses that don’t address my actual questions.
