Radical Meitei women, known as Meira Paibis, set fire to three trucks carrying LPG cylinders owned by a Zomi-Kuki tribal in Sekmai village, Imphal West. The trucks, stranded at the gas plant, were being relocated with police approval. The Meira Paibis, acting on inside information, blocked the route and set the trucks ablaze.

These Radical Meitei women, once seen as protectors of society, have turned into killers, arsonists, and supporters of armed militants. They have been involved in raids on tribal settlements, hindered security forces from aiding attacked villagers, and secured the release of separatist militants responsible for soldier killings. They have shown no hesitation in harming innocent women and children.

Despite claims of normalcy by the @NBirenSingh-led government, peace remains elusive. The majority community continues its ethnic cleansing campaign, targeting the lives and properties of Zomi-Kuki tribals.

To restore peace, there must be a complete separation of communities.

This was one of the first evictions done by the MANIPUR GOVT. at K. #Songjang Village, #Henglep, #MANIPUR on 20th Feb. 2023 without following any due procedure of law and declaring it a #ProtectedForest

Kids have to return to their homes being destroyed and had to eat out in the open because they had no place to stay.
And when the people of K.Songjang Village built temporary shelters out of tents/parachutes, the MANIPUR GOVT. came again to destroy that as well on a 're-eviction' drive.
The ITLF has organised a peaceful rally in protest with regard to this on March 10th 2023, and on 9th March 2023, the MANIPUR GOVT. even issued several orders under S.144 CrPC trying to stop this rally which is legal under article 19 of the Constitution of India.
Trouble erupted in Kangpokpi area because the #ManipurPolice and #ManipurCommandos tried to stop the #Tribals gathered there and in fact, one 'male' #ManipurCommando was seen hitting a #TribalWoman with a stick trying to stop her.
And then the 'Almost' ex-CM of Manipur on his own, withdrew from the SoO trying to blame it on the SoO like what's being done now with absolutely Zero proof.

Infact, I had personally also filed a Public Interest Litigation #PIL as a Petitioner-in-person (as a Citizen) and not as an advocate at the High Court of Manipur regarding this. Even the 144 CrpC is highly questionable as the order read "assembly of four or more person" wasn't allowed, but a normal order u/s 144 CrPC is suppose to say "assembly of four or more person which would most like turn unlawful"

There were many ways to do these things peacefully by following the proper due procedure of law, but the #ManipurGoverment couldn't care less what due procedure of law is. And this inhumane eviction without following any due procedure of law was continuously done by the MANIPUR GOVT. in many other tribal areas.
