It was one of the first places I went to when I moved to Wales. I felt paying my respects was the least I could do. A very sobering and sad experience.

Remembering the 116 children and 28 adults who lost their lives 60 years ago today. Their families and friends. And the rescuers who refused to give up.

I do know of quite a few villages like that though. In my experience, it’s often not the people that have been in them for many generations that are like that, with a few exceptions.
