Dawg... Not Sam Rivers, man... The man who was there from the beginning, and to the end... I'm glad he was part of my childhood, but I'm truly sadden to hear that he has passed... Rest in peace, man... This month for this year truly sucks.
Sam Rivers, founding bassist of Limp Bizkit, has died at age 48. The band confirmed the news on Oct. 18, calling him “the pulse beneath every song” and “a once-in-a-lifetime kind of human.”
Rivers was part of Limp Bizkits original lineup and played on all major releases, including Significant Other and Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water.
He passed away just weeks after wrapping the band’s 2025 tour.
Limp Bizkit’s statement: • In Loving Memory of Our Brother, Sam Rivers
Today we lost our brother.
Our bandmate.
Our heartbeat.
Sam Rivers wasn't just our bass player — he was pure magic.
The pulse beneath every song, the calm in the chaos, the soul in the sound.
From the first note we ever played together, Sam brought a light and a rhythm that could never be replaced. His talent was effortless, his presence unforgettable, his heart enormous.
We shared so many moments - wild ones, quiet ones, beautiful ones — and every one of them meant more because Sam was there.
He was a once-in-a-lifetime kind of human.
A true legend of legends.
And his spirit will live forever in every groove, every stage, every memory.
We love you, Sam.
We'll carry you with us, always.
Rest easy, brother.
Your music never ends.

We are devastated by the passing of Ace Frehley. He was an essential and irreplaceable rock soldier during some of the most formative foundational chapters of the band and its history. He is and will always be a part of KISS's legacy. Our thoughts are with Jeanette, Monique and all those who loved him, including our fans around the world.
