Some of them are people who, in spite of being good at the game, have more fun when they are making their opponents mad (exhibit A would be any Call of duty player)

Like the Vector SMG with an anti recoil system and the AN94 with hyper burst.

Just make these but stronger, like a vector made using rifle caliber rounds (which could be possible in a world with future tech)

Generally if an online multiplayer game is good it has high player retention, if people do not like your game that means it's not as good. And hopefully Marathon can gain a number of players back for more seasons.
