The level of emotional detachment it requires to succeed in trading:
-Seeing massive wins get cut in half
-Not making money for years
-Watching money evaporate into thin air
makes a man dead inside.
Grown men 20-30 are going to a 9-5 , not doing any sort of meaningful work
Then getting home to play video games with friends
Its what they look forward to all day
Eating garbage . Mid exercise if any .
Zero goals . Zero vision for literally anything .
What kind of fucking life is that
Enjoy these times folks. Not too long ago was October to March period.
It will happen again where the market becomes unfavorable and challenging. That time is not now. It remains the time to let your winners pay you and to continue to take action when signals are provided.
Enjoy these times! Feels like it lasts forever and then when they go away you will wish you pressed it harder. Wish you held your winners. Wish you added positions that had strong signals!
Granted the time to do that was weeks ago essentially. Not necesdarily now!
But just make sure to recognize the opportunity and then ultimately the change in the tape over weeks when it comes.
I personally think we continue to last and blast but always prepared for the next punch around the corner!
Stay grounded, humble, motivated, and WILLING!
After trying the latest version of Tesla FSD I feel pretty confident that kids born today won’t have to learn how to drive themselves.
“You really used to have to drive yourself?”
That’s going to be a common question from kids born over the next few years when they get older.
How to actually replace your income trading:
1. Make as much money as you can with a job
2. Save aggressively for 2-3 years
3. Use that time to study the markets relentlessly
4. Begin swing trading stocks on the side
5. Focus on building confidence and consistency
6. Keep growing your account steadily
ONLY If it’s working, funnel more savings into it
7. Work your way up to 100k+ account
Don’t try to turn $1K into $1M in a year
The level of risk and leverage required will almost always lead to bad habits that set you back years.
This is how you save years of failure and blow ups, and learn a REAL skill that compounds.
I truly feel like this market is going a lot higher than people expect.
That doesn’t mean there won’t be pullbacks and potentially maybe corrections along the way, it means in the big picture I think this market has more room.
The Naz went up roughly 570% during the dot com bull market if you measure from the beginning of 1995 to the March 2000 peak.
From the 2022 bear market low, the Naz is up about 180%.
Further, the dot com boom lasted over 5 years and we’re just 3.5 years into this rally. I’d argue the technology will be more transformational and life changing compared to the internet.
Not to mention the future IPOs.
Everyone is convinced OpenAI, Anthropic, SpaceX, Anduril, etc. will mark the top, but I’m not convinced. I actually think a top won’t come until all of tiny or garbage “AI” companies go public.
Remember, the Nasdaq doubled in 9 months during that final stretch of the dot com boom.
I’m not saying this has to happen again…
But I do think people are underestimating how far this can go.
