Get married and be rewarded for fulfilling your desires in a halal manner. Through marriage, even intimacy with your spouse becomes an act for which you are rewarded by Allah.
Why seek fleeting pleasure that earns the anger of Allah when He has provided a pure and lawful alternative?
Marriage protects one’s religion, guards chastity, and brings tranquility to the heart. So strive for that which is halal, and seek the reward of Allah in all your affairs.
Scholarly Accountability
Here is a subtle benefit we learned from our scholars. The Permanent Committee for Scholarly Research and Fatwa (اللجنة الدائمة للبحوث العلمية والإفتاء)—despite its immense scholarly authority, list the names of the scholars who participated in and approved the fatwa.
In the shared picture, the committee were asked a question about wiping over leather socks. Each member of the committee signed their name to the response.
Chairman: Abdul Aziz ibn Abdullah ibn Baz
Member: Bakr ibn Abdullah Abu Zayd
Member: Abdul Aziz ibn Abdullah ibn Muhammad Aali Shaykh
Member: Salih ibn Fawzan al-Fawzan
The benefit of this is accountability. The reader knows: Who issued the verdict, who bears responsibility for it, whose knowledge and methodology are being relied upon, and, if an error occurs, to whom that error is attributed.
I advise myself and all my brothers to return to this methodology that we learned from our scholars.

How does charity increase wealth?
Shaykh Ibn ʿUthaymīn (said:
If someone were to ask: how does Allāh increase the wealth of the one who spends, when we can plainly see that spending reduces wealth? If a person spends ten dirhams, it becomes nine - so where is the increase?
The answer: As for the increase of reward in the Hereafter, that is clear and apparent. A single good deed is multiplied tenfold, up to seven hundred times and more. Whoever gives in charity even a date from lawful earnings - and Allāh accepts nothing but what is good and pure , Allāh nurtures it until it becomes like a mountain.
As for tangible, worldly increase, that comes through several avenues:
The first: Allāh may open for the person a door of provision that never occurred to them, and so their wealth increases.
The second: This wealth may be protected by Allāh from calamities that would otherwise have afflicted it had it not been for the charity. This is something observable. Spending in charity shields wealth from harm.
The third: The blessing (barakah) in spending, a person spends little yet its fruits exceed much. And when blessing is stripped from spending, a person may spend a great deal on things that neither benefit nor harm them. This too is something observable.

Question: Can you show me the ulema who said anything other than obedience to the Muslim authorities during the fitna of COVID?
Sure.
1) I asked the mufti Shaykh 'Abdul-'Azeez Aal Shaykh (may Allah have Mercy on him) questions about what to do specifically when living under non-Muslim authorities. His answers are here: https://t.co/Nn6sYwgxRd
2) Shaykh Saalih al-Fowzaan, the current mufti (may Allah preserve him) mentions the obligation of distancing in the prayer rows, based on the Quranic command to take precautions, not simply obedience to rulers. There is no specification of his country or only the Muslim lands. That was imagined by people who did not want his guidance in this matter. Here: https://t.co/Nn6sYwgxRd
3) The Lajnah Daa'imah (Standing Committee) for Fatwaa in Saudi Arabia answered many questions, nothing at all was indicated in them that these issues were only for Saudi Arabia or only under Muslim rulers who require such things. Again, the assumption that it was only for those living under Muslim leaders is imagined, not stated nor implied. Here: https://t.co/EMlvqINmon
4) Another series of beneficial advice from the former Mufti (may Allah have Mercy on him) on essential topics related to Covid-19. Again, the assumption that these beautiful points were only for Muslims living under Islamic governments is not stated nor implied, just a figment of imagination, based on information-bias. Here: https://t.co/OBP1aIVXO1
5+) There are many more Q&A's and other topics covered, of great benefit by Allah's Permission, which can be accessed here: https://t.co/k2fpVwcfHD
Many doubts raised by Abu Iyaad Amjad Rafiq and others are addressed without mentioning names, yet the issues are handled in a sober and consistent way in the comments of these articles (above), by Allah's Permission.
Also, there is an unresolved problem with the assumption that Muslims in Muslim lands would do something impermissible & Islamically unjustifiable in their religion out of obedience to their rulers; it is not from the religion of Islam. We obey our Muslim leaders in matters which are permissible only, as a principle. The scholars know this more than anyone, so they are the last people who would suggest obeying rulers in impermissible things. Meaning: These precautions, after the due diligence that people of knowledge are known for, were deemed as necessary for the preservation of life and safety, and this is why they directed the people to them, not to simply satisfy the Muslim leaders.
I hope this answer provides some insight, and Allah knows best.
What Would Shaykh Muqbil Say If He Saw the Smartphones We Have Today!
Shaykh Muqbil ibn Hadi al-Wadi‘i (rahimahullah) was asked thirty years ago:
“If you have a telephone, then inform us of its number.”
He replied:
“We do not have a telephone, nor do we desire one, because it wastes our time.”

Bearing with the Bad Manners of Your Teacher: Patience, Propriety, and the Pursuit of Knowledge
From enduring a scholar's harsh tongue to waiting patiently at his door - classical wisdom on what it truly means to honour knowledge and its people.
ash-Shāfiʿī (d. 204 AH/820 CE) reported: “It was said to Sufyān ibn ʿUyayna (d. 198 AH/814 CE):
‘People come to you from the farthest corners of the earth, yet you grow angry with them. Soon they will leave and abandon you.’ He replied: ‘Then they are fools, just as you are, if they abandon what benefits them on account of my poor character.'”

While advancements in AI might seem troubling & threatening from a number of angles, there is a wonderful hidden benefit to consider.
The possibility of faked video/audio which might seem like stand-alone proofs require people of Sunnah to know about and return to their principles. In this case (even before AI): Recordings are never stand-alone proofs; they can only be used to strengthen a narrator's testimony. Meaning: The person who has the recording must be known & offer his testimony before the recording could be assigned any value. Then, further conditions would apply to using such a recording as proof.
This is what I have learned from our scholars decades ago in detailed Fiqh discussion, when there was much less of a chance to "doctor" footage or "splice" recordings. Recordings are only a "qareenah" (circumstantial support) along with someone's testimony; they are not valid as proof when isolated without their creator/narrator.
Of course, this is if the people are returning verdicts to judges and issues back to scholars. If they wish to follow their desires and play by their own rules with anonymous accounts on social media, then real people of Sunnah who know their religion ignore them, while they might still have a limited effect on some of the heedless & ignorant Muslims who do not know these rulings. (The greatest form of self-harm is: Ignorance of essential matters.)
Again, the "wonderful hidden benefit" is that Muslims would see a greater need to learn knowledge-based principles in interacting with claims & evidence and be more diligent and precise in applying them. With AI-created and AI-assisted content spreading everywhere, even the general masses of people are losing trust in stand-alone video/audio content, something that might have fooled them 10 years ago.
We are excited to host our brother and teacher, Ustaadh @AbooSuhailah Umar Quinn, for a very important seminar, Being Proud to be Muslim, from June 12th to June 14th.
Please see the updated flyer for the seminar schedule.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
The best Dua is the Dua on the day of Arafah, and the best thing that I and the Prophets before me have said is:
None has the right to be worshipped except Allāh alone, having no partners, and to Him belongs the Dominion and all Praise and He is able to do all things.
