The CDC’s “Autism and Vaccines” page now says the claim “vaccines do not cause autism” “is not an evidence-based claim” because studies “have not ruled out the possibility that infant vaccines cause autism.”

Meanwhile, measles cases have hit a 34-year high, outbreaks of the explosive diarrhea-causing parasite Cyclospora have spread across the country, and the CDC doesn’t exactly seem to have things under control.

I’m starting to think appointing an anti-vaccine conspiracy theorist crackpot to lead public health was a catastrophic mistake…
