The incident at GMC Goa, where Health Minister Vishwajit Rane publicly humiliated and suspended a respected CMO over a non-emergency demand for a Vit B12 injection, is a grotesque display of power abuse.

Rane’s Bollywood-style theatrics—storming the OPD with a camera crew, berating a seasoned doctor in front of juniors and bypassing due process—reek of arrogance and privilege, not concern for the "poor" as he claims. The patient, reportedly a journalist’s relative with direct access to Rane, hardly represents the underprivileged. This was no fight for justice; it was a minister flexing his clout to settle a personal score.

Governance is not a reality show. Suspending a public servant without inquiry, ignoring established protocols like issuing a show-cause notice or conducting a fair investigation, is not leadership—it’s thuggery.

Such actions erode public trust, demoralize healthcare workers, and turn institutions into political playgrounds. If this had happened under any other party or state, the outrage would be deafening. The hypocrisy of defending this behavior because it’s BJP-ruled Goa is glaring.

Shri @narendramodi , this is not the conduct expected of elected officials. Rane’s actions disgrace the dignity of his office and demand accountability. Public service deserves respect, not public shaming.
