Can I not be an adult anymore? Working 40 hrs a week takes so much of my time that I just barely have energy to do things like actually cooking dinner, let alone anything hobby wise. And I still feel the need for a side income because I feel like I don't make enough
@cuppalang But I think its also in the end of course up to you. I feel eventually you do pick up the patterns of what parts of traditional were simplified. Like all mainland Chinese people can read traditional characters, they just cant write it unless they studied it purposely
@cuppalang What is your aim? Do you mean for writing purposes? I studied only simplified Chinese throughout my studies but from consuming content from Taiwan I can read most traditional characters now. If its just for reading purposes I think you're okay not switching and picking it up.
Now that I'm finally feeling settled and more comfortable in my new home, I plan to make actual language goals for this next year. I have such limited time after work, but I think it's important to do something I want to do and want to improve.
My life is finally calming down from my move, and I finally got a job, so I can go back to studying languages soon! Just sad I had to leave like all my books in Alaska but I'll get my dad to send them to me 😭
I love my roommate and she is a great friend but she has a cat I'm slightly allergic to and she doesn't clean as often as I need for the cat allergy to not bother me so after our lease is up I probably won't live with her again 🙃
