Korean Air Flight 85 lands safely in Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada 🇨🇦.
On the tarmac, Flight 85 is greeted by armed Royal Canadian Mounted Police officers who, after interrogating the pilots, learned the whole ordeal was caused by a translation error.
It is a false alarm.

President Bush arrives at Offutt Air Force Base, Bellevue, Nebraska, to convene a National Security Council teleconference via the U.S. STRATCOM bunker.

ATC instructs Flight 85 to change its transponder code to 7500, the universal signal for hijack.
They expect experienced professional pilots to know this and to challenge the unusual command.
Instead, Flight 85 immediately complies and squawks 7500.
