Korean Air Flight 85 lands safely in Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada 🇨🇦.

On the tarmac, Flight 85 is greeted by armed Royal Canadian Mounted Police officers who, after interrogating the pilots, learned the whole ordeal was caused by a translation error.

It is a false alarm.

President Bush arrives at Offutt Air Force Base, Bellevue, Nebraska, to convene a National Security Council teleconference via the U.S. STRATCOM bunker.

They expect experienced professional pilots to know this and to challenge the unusual command.

Instead, Flight 85 immediately complies and squawks 7500.

Fourteen people, including twelve firefighters, who were in a section of a stairwell in the North Tower that held together during the collapse, climb the stairs to the top of the Ground Zero rubble field.
