Just had the creepiest scam ever happen 20 minutes ago.
I got a call from my wife telling me she forgot her wallet and needed the credit card to pay for her gas.
Except my wife was at home with me, and drives a Tesla. Same voice, bit... off, weird cadence but 100% sounded just like her. If she wasn't there, and it wasn't about gas I would have fallen for it.
I entertained it for awhile to get more out of it, I was so confused. Must be some sort of voice deepfake. The responses were too fast for ai, I think it was a voice filter. I wish I had thought to record it.
The future is about to get fucked. Warn your loved ones, do verbal passwords with your kids.
Bit taken aback
@MrPseudonymless@OldSchoolRS Maybe change the resolution of your display for the entire phone. Or perhaps change the font size in the phone. One of them may cross through and influence the UI glitch, potentially making it usable.
@0x49fa98 Some of this might have to do with the amount of people on GLP-1s. They have to try to eat protein to prevent muscle wasting. This might be marketing towards them. There is a large upheaval in the heaviest consumer's habits.
@escapefrommelos Another thing is the suspenders. People get fat, their weights fluctuate. Size the pants up and then suspenders help maintain fit while weight fluctuates, and you dont have to order new uniforms as often.
They are also less restrictive than belts.
It might just be pragmatic. Uniforms because you'll get extremely dirty working with metal/doing hot work. It is better if the company handles your laundry.
Also natural fibers are flame resistant, they smolder instead of melt to you like polyester. When your employees catch on fire it is better for it just to be a patch that smolders rather than all of their clothes burst into flames and melt to their skin.
If you tell your employees "wear natural fibers" some still won't. And even if they try to most clothes are blends, people don't read tags well. This elminates uncertainty.
Bribes likely. Or maybe smaller scale "friendly gifts" like bringing in donuts, pizza, sandwiches pizza etc to management.
Little things like food i think dont technically count as bribes depending on how it is given, i think it is supposed to be given freely with no expectation of something in return and not as a reward. Kind of like what doctors get from drug companies.
I know of contractors in my industry who have specific budgets set up to buy food for the workers.
@bashu_thanks It was in response to a tylenol overdose. Probably why it says kids too. Very serious situation.
It is basically irreversible death sentence that is EXTREMELY agonizing and takes days while your liver dies.
@F530Josh@sacsheriff They realized the phrasing "collecting change in your couch cushions" disproptionatiely targets minorites, low income, disabled, and lgbtqi+.
So it had to be scrubbed, and the intern has now has a trip to HR for sensitivity training.
Zero evidence of it... does that mean they have acrually studied it and looked for it? These LLms say "no evidence of" a lot of the time when the thing hasn't even been looked at or considered. For example there could be dog crap on the bottom of my shoe but if I have not looked there will be no evidence. And even if I have looked and seen dog shit on the bottom of my shoe there will be zero CLINICAL evidence of me having stepped in dog shit.
@Dexerto I feel vindicated by having no lettuce on anything for 15+ years. They would also sometimes give like 2x the beef and cheese to fill up the empty space... but seem to have cracked down on that. Still happens maybe 20% of the time, but it used to be a coin toss.
