I believe Trump is trying to cause a recession by continuing to use tariffs. I've been wondering what the reason for tariffs is, because they are all a tax on the American consumers and manufacturers. The only thing I can come up with is, based upon my own experience many years ago, a recession will lower housing prices and probably quite substantially. A deep recession may finally drop our interest rates as well.
