National ambition is socially disruptive. For a country to rise, it must uplift the masses. It portends narrowing status gap between incumbent elites/upwardly mobile and masses. Its why affordable housing ellicits the most visceral reaction from the #UpperDeckPeopleKe
For decades Kenyans have been so entertained by mediocrity that we mistake ambition for arrogance. When a leader dares to say we can be first world, we laugh. We actually laugh at ourselves. Imagine that! And, it says nothing about the leader. It says everything about how little we believe we deserve. It takes greatness to recognise greatness. Open your eyes Kenya. When Lee Kuan Yew told Singaporeans he would turn their small, poor, resource lacking island into a global financial capital, they thought he was delusional. When Park Chung-hee pushed South Korea through painful industrial reform in the 1960s, his own people PROTESTED in the streets. Both nations came out the other side as economic miracles. The pain was the price. Kenya is paying its price right now. This is how great nations are built. Not through comfort. Through the unbearable tension of becoming something you have never been before. Kenya is in that moment right now and most of us are too comfortable with small thinking to see it.
🇺🇸🇮🇱 Leave it to Tim Dillon to read the Iran MOU and nail Israel's stance on the deal:
"We've got to kill somebody here.
I don't care what deal you've written down.
Can you give us a group of people we can kill?
We're asking nicely."
Brutal as a joke, accurate as a fact.
Israel signed a Lebanon ceasefire this week, then ran some of the deadliest strikes of the war.
The text says stop. The strikes say no.
Tim closes with:
"It's an Islamic Republic summer, brought to you by the Trump-Vance administration."

“If Somalis decided to pull their resources out of Kenya, it will collapse in a day”..This is part of a statement by @AlinurMohamed_
By all means, pull your resources out of Kenya, let it collapse!! We will rebuild from scratch.
Every time a conversation on how Eastleigh business are taxed arises, you see such statements. We won’t cave. Watu walipe tax!!
Today, I’m releasing never before seen intelligence revealing new evidence of past US government funding for more than 120 biolabs in over 30 countries, including Ukraine.
In support of President Trump‘s Executive Order to end federal funding of dangerous gain of function research around the world, and increase transparency and accountability, ODNI will continue working with partners across the Administration to identify where these labs are, what pathogens they contain, and what “research” is being conducted.

First, money. Take the 11000 acre Ruiru holding. The Northlands City development occupies 5,000 acres. Take a conservative figure of Sh50m per acre. That’s a tidy Sh250b monetization of land for which there is no record of purchase.
Gen Zs,
There is NO fuel in Ethiopia!.
Have you seen Ethiopian people on the streets LOOTING and DESTROYING properties?
The US/Israel-Iran war has disrupted global supply chains, and every oil-importing nation is affected.
CHEAP and UNAVAILABLE or EXPENSIVE and AVAILABLE?
