Another auspicious weekend with @anshustephenkhayes and @RumikoHayes at their Hombu dojo. Great to see so many new faces as well as Buyu I have trained with and known for over 20 years. It was an incredibly unique training that tied together ancient wisdoms , Shugendo practices , Mind Sciences and Taijutsu into an amazing weekend of learning, practicing and growth.

Deepest Thanks to everyone who made this weekend possible and big shout outs @derekleethompson and @renatoeli for the training. @toutoshi for the training tools, and Mr and Mrs Hayes for the inspiration always. Has been a part of my consciousness and life since I was around 8 years old. As I child seeing him in the production “ Shogun” to discovering his books and reading about his years and training in Japan with Dr Masaaki Hatsumi. Later becoming head of security for HH the Dali Lama is nothing short of a movie script waiting to be written. Black Belt hall of famer , world traveler, entrepreneur, published and acclaimed author , mentor, teacher , husband, father, Buddhist monk, Ninja, Martial artist and incredible human being to just name a few titles he has worn over the years. I’d even say … Tatsujin.

His example of living “ above the fray “ along with sharing his very personal journey of “How to Own Your World” has been a benchmark for my own growth & development along with a North Star on my life’s map.

There are no words to really say the amount of appreciation and Thanks I have for this man and his work. He has changed the lives of so many people I know and don’t know … for decades now. When I say that , I mean many decades now. He is one of the most inspiring people I have ever met and a true hero in a world that has forgotten what it means to have a hero.

Absolutely inspiring and a man amongst men.

I feel deeply honored and blessed to be able to study and learn from him along with share time and space on this journey called life. Thank you Sir May your special day be a blessed one. May you and Rumiko have wonderful celebrations this year together. Thank you for all that you do.
