Matilda after a Rabies Shot 💉💔.

Both pups were vaccinated. Fifteen minutes after they got home she started to swell.

On the way back to the clinic she went limp and unresponsive two minutes from the door.

Epi. IV steroids. A pack on her back. A load of IV Benadryl. She is home and sleeping.

That is a severe allergic reaction. It is not “rare” if it is your animal on the seat next to you. 😢

The owner’s words:

“This is what a severe allergic reaction to a rabies vaccine looks like. Both pups had shots today. We got home from the vet and 15 minutes after we got home, Matilda started to swell. I hopped in the car to rush her back up to the office and she went totally limp and unresponsive about 2 minutes away. After some epi, IV steroids, a water pack injection on her back, and a butt load of IV Benadryl, she is finally back home and resting.”
