He’s got talent but he’s not ready yet. Still lacks the defensive awareness that is crucial and often picks the wrong/safe pass when there’s better passes on. In a couple years he’ll be a great 6 but for now we need a Partey replacement.

As much as I want a proven player for LW/ST to make a difference next year. We’re in a position where we have enough attackers that we can take a gamble on a CDK/Gakpo type player to try jump the curve. Well worth it if Raph/Diaby/Osimhen can’t be signed.

@arsenility Both of them would be much more expensive is the issue. I like Jesus on the wings but I think he’s good enough as a striker for now. If it doesn’t work out we’re not stuck with him either. Can always shift him to LW and sign a new 9 (osimhen/Tammy will also be better + cheaper)

Even if this was true (which it’s obviously not), which striker that is currently on the market would be better than the rest of the top6? I prefer Jesus as a winger and don’t rate him massively as a 9 but the market is so limited he’s by far the best option.

@david6afc In my ideal world I’d want Jesus + Osimhen but Osimhen isn’t fully ready. Still can be moulded into a top9 bc his attributes but he’s not a consistent goalscorer and isn’t as good as Jesus yet (I prefer GJ on the wing as well). Understand why we’re not taking VO at 80mil+ tbh

Just realised that the Vieira deal wasn’t leaked because he didn’t want to raise the price or have other clubs involved. If it wasn’t already obvious he really wanted to join Arsenal and hopefully can become a legend here.
