@1872MB Because unfortunately “win your battles” doesn’t quite have the same effect on elite level players….Mcinnes might be a good motivator and man manager but he’s an awful coach who is totally tactically inept
@NotAndyFirth So when these same players don’t like the next manager they’ll just throw him under the bus?
I ain’t Rohls biggest fan but starting to think certain players have been ruling the roost for too long.
Maybe Russel Martin was right about something….
@JaffaGer Starting to think he may not have been wrong, maybe the likes of Tav and Raskin are the problem
Maybe they dictate the dressing room too much and potentially could be the main instigators in throwing managers under the bus as soon as there is disagreements or things don’t go
@_DIGB I’m not going to debate whether starting him was the right or wrong thing to do, but Tavs reaction just completely solidifies what most people think….the guy is self centred and entitled. He cares more about his own stats and legacy than the team
Our players really need to know their place.
Another trophyless season.
I remember Souness would drop McCoist. He didn’t like it but he didn’t storm out of Ibrox. He worked his socks off to get back in.
That’s the problem with our players. Entitled wee boys with far too high an opinion of themselves.
@Empire1872 Couldn’t disagree more, if it’s true it’s not ideal for Tav but you swallow your pride and keep your thoughts to yourself, Rohl is trying to save his job…to me it shows the mentality in that squad, full of self centred, entitled losers
@MinicooAndy @BigGreegsy1 The changes Rhol made were reactive to what was happening, the game had already swung in Celtics favour so Rhol brought Diomande on to try get control of the midfield again, seemed like a sensible sub to me.
Although couldn’t predict half our team being done in by 60mins
@OwenRangers@Geeb1872@TremendoHendo72 There’s no way that came from Rhol. Amateur level managers wouldn’t be so silly to change a winning formula. That change is solely down to the players thinking the game was already won
@Adamfmfitness1@Geeb1872 No chance! The players often play with the intensity and vibe they receive from the senior players in the squad….we obviously came out the second half thinking the job was done. Rhol tried to make the appropriate changes but momentum had already shifted
@gers19733@Geeb1872 Couldn’t agree more mate, there is not a manager in all divisions that would change the way we were playing! To think a manager would change that is ludicrous. It solely down to the players and momentum shift. Leadership group
needs a serious looking at
@gr4nt7@FacelessRanger Of course you don’t, keep pointing the finger at the manager, so the same players keep letting us down time and time again.
This Leadership group has cost us as many titles as it has thrown managers under the bus
@DJP242392399271 @raskinrangers72 There’s no way Rhol changed anything second half! Any shift in momentum is down to the players, it’s about time we started looking at the leadership group!
@linden1974@cjnovo992 No way that comes from Rhol !!!! I agree
It does happen week in week out, but happened way before Rhol , this comes from the leaders in the dressing room!
Not having a player like Davis etc to calm things down and regain composure is something we have missed massively lately
@1872MB *How many more times do you need to question the manager before questioning the leadership group?
There’s no way that Rhol suggested to the players that they do anything different in the second half.
Changes came in the second half reflecting the way the game was panning out
@Bairdric1 Would prefer we signed lower league players in form than sign players out of favour and on the decline, with the hope of reigniting their career
Bodo/Glimt's big European moment is a good time to reflect on the investment in Norwegian youth football.
Norway is now one of Europe’s top producers of elite players (think Haaland and Odegaard) with U21 domestic minutes in the top division dwarfing that of size equivalents such as the Scottish Premiership.
Copying from the Icelandic model, investment has been placed into mini-pitches to encourage “street football”. With 94% of mini-pitches located on school grounds, heavily used during school hours, breaks, and evenings, often until 11pm!
Players are developed locally (no academy registration before U15), with £8.5m of TV revenue going into club academies. What a success story it's turning out to be! 🇳🇴
