There’s no other player in the country who can show you 3 different styles of play accordingly to what a team needs, facilitator, creator & scorer.
🫡 Point God.

I can’t remember a rookie as talented and with as much promise as Mikel Brown Jr.

He makes the right pass and can hit a clutch shot when the moment calls for it.

The kid is a leader, straight up and oozes star potential.

@lilmanJake95 Can’t even take you serious lil boy. You don’t even curse tough😂

[Coach Chris Brown @A2Advanced]

Landed and went straight to the gym. When you have young players, you need to allow them to play EARLY, OFTEN & thru MISTAKES. Thats where you see the growth. #Growth

This the accountability I want to see. Take it on the chin, head high, shoulders back & LEARN from these moments. I fucking love it, we needed this. 🤫

[Erik Slater @ErikSlater_]

Mikel Brown Jr. on attempting the layup in the final seconds up one rather than pulling the ball out:

“I did see the open lane, and I thought I had a layup, but the ball was kind of already slipping out of my hands, and PG was already coming towards my right side. So I felt like if I didn't go up with it, I kind of was gonna fall out of bounds. So that was my last resort, in all honesty, but I can't make an excuse. There's a lot of plays down the stretch that I messed up on, that I take full accountability for, and I'm gonna be better.

Was it discussed before the play to dribble the ball out?

“It was discussed to just try to get it in, and try to kill time. That definitely was discussed, but like I said, it's just mistakes down the stretch that I just can't make. I just can't do that."

@TheBrohmShelter Yes I do live through all my kids and BEAUTIFUL wife. I trained him, coached him and prepared him for life. My who my boys become and who my daughter marries will be my greatest accomplishment. Don’t allow your insecurities as a show jealousy, that’s a weak man emotion😏

[Coach Chris Brown @A2Advanced]

@TheBrohmShelter Great fingers. I know your account don’t get any attention without mentioning something about our family.

[Coach Chris Brown @A2Advanced]

You was probably hoping the nets lost to find a reason to talk like this because they didn’t draft someone who you liked. I know what sleeps in my house, this will light a fire of kel. We “The Brown Family” BELIEVE in coach Jordi and the Nets front office.

[Kevin O'Connor @KevinOConnor]

Boy that's a rough loss for Brooklyn. So many chances to put Boston away in overtime. One bad decision after another by Mikel Brown, but hard to blame a rookie guard in his third game and not the third-year head coach Jordi Fernández for better preparing his team for a moment like that. Keeping Brown in the game for a defense-only possession says it all to me about how ill-prepared Fernandez was. And the Nets remain winless.

[Coach Chris Brown @A2Advanced]

@KevinOConnor I know exactly why you saying this, you haven’t wrote anything about Kel or nets all season and couldn’t wait to kick in a moment like this… probably was over there hoping they loose.

[Coach Chris Brown @A2Advanced]

@KevinOConnor @kevinoconnor there was 1 questionable decision not one after another. You sound basis and like a hater. It’s about time people start calling writers like yourself. Jordi, the Nets organization and MIKEL BROWN JR WILL prove guys like you wrong. This post BOOKMARK.

“That swagger is going to stay regardless."

Mikel Brown Jr. is learning when to slow down, when to speak up and what it takes to survive in the NBA.
