We battle for progress in this broken nation. Fighting for universal healthcare, an end to inequality, climate justice, free college, and much more. BLM
There must be a systematic change in the American economic and social system. These broken systems perpetuate inequality, which facilitates police violence towards black and brown Americans. This inequality and killing must stop now. #BlackLivesMatter#JusticeforGeorgesFloyd
Funny how people vehemently defend capitalism but own no capital, almost like the system is getting to you. It’s made to benefit the singular, not the collective.

Moderate Republicans are not your friends. Just because there is a Republican who is not part of the Trump cult does not mean we can consider them an ally. https://t.co/she4yEGr1E
Capitalism allows the exploitation of the environment, and it creates inequalities, allowing our planet to collapse. It’s time to end this broken system.

The climate crisis isn't something "we" have created.
"We" are not equally responsible for stealing the future.

- Lied about COVID, "played it down." Now almost 200,000 Americans dead, 22 million jobless.
- Said climate change a "hoax," withdrew from Paris Agreement. Now fires and floods consuming America.
- Called white supremacists "good people." Now carnage on our streets.
Enough.
I just want to take this time to wish Happy Birthday to @BernieSanders
Thank you Bernie! You were my inspiration to get into leftist ideas, and you helped inspire me and realize that maybe our planet wouldn’t die from the heat death of climate change. Happy Birthday!
The annual income for frontline workers:
Nursing assistants: $34K
Restaurant cooks: $27K
Home health aides: $24K
Cashiers: $22K
What Jeff Bezos made in one day: $13 billion
If this doesn't convince you our economy is broken, I don't know what will.
Employers steal $15,000,000,000 from their workers every year in the form of wage theft.
That’s nearly as much as all other property theft combined.
It’s time we talk about the real looting in America.
On this Labor Day let us not forget that over the last 30 years the top 1% have seen a $22 trillion increase in their wealth, while the bottom half of the American people have actually seen a decline in their wealth. We need an economy that works for all, not just the few.
This is true. But pinning the blame for wealth inequality and poverty on Trump misses the point. Yes, Trump has perpetuated and worsened these issues. But the root of these issues is capitalism and a neoliberal economy.
Capitalism, and the wealth inequality it perpetuates, is mutually exclusive with a true democracy. It’s time to fundamentally shift the way our economic system works. It’s time for an economic system that creates true democracy.
Because capitalism is an economic system that prioritize the wealth of the 1% over the lives of the 99%, and the planet. It’s time for that system to be dismantled.
How is it that Jeff Bezos can grow his wealth by $13,000,000,000 in a single day but Amazon can’t afford to provide paid sick leave to its warehouse workers?
Growing up, my father told me, don’t beg for your rights, you organize, and you take them. So, to the young people fighting in this movement for change, here is my charge: march in the streets, protest, run for school committee or city council or the state legislature. And win.
In the richest country on Earth no one should suddenly lose their health insurance, let alone during a pandemic. It's outrageous that our corporate-run system treats health insurance as an employee benefit, not a right. We must end that disgrace and pass Medicare for All.
