A Memorial Day road trip will cost more at the pump this year. We project that 39.1 million people will be hitting the road this year with a current national gas price average of around $4.52 a gallon. Last year Memorial Day travelers saw an average price of $3.06 per gallon on Memorial Day.

GAS PRICES UPDATE:
⛽ The US average price for gasoline exceeded $4 a gallon today for the first time since August 2022.
⛽ On average, Americans are paying about $15 more to fill up their gas tank compared to a month ago.
