Two mentalities clashed this last cycle.

For many traders, this was their first time in crypto. The Pumpfun era is all they know.

For those who have been here multiple cycles, trading in crypto is completely different.

Many of the first cyclers were more focused on fast-paced, quick-flip trading and deploying bundled tokens (a.k.a extraction).

Many crypto vets were focused on just buying and holding good assets. While this extraction still happened, the means of doing so weren't as readily available until PF launched.

So many people relied on buying and believing to generate generational returns.

Crypto OGs who refused to adapt to onchain massively underperformed while deployers extracted millions from the space.

At first, deployers had fun because tokens were going to hundreds of millions. Eventually, everyone wanted to be in early, and now, tokens barely make it pass $1M MC (because no one wants to buy higher).

Many who made insane returns round-tripped, or even zeroed out. Crypto vets also lost as a result of the lack of "alt szn."

That's why crypto is underperforming.
Everyone has been hurt in some way.

While I remain a firm believer in the future of this space, it seems many don't.

Slowly but surely, people are believing in tech projects again, right as most give up hope.

It would be a shame if we leave them behind.
