Press Release
In Memory of the Sweida Massacre
AADS remembers the innocent civilians who were killed at the hands of the Nusra Front and other jihadist groups. AADS condemns, in the strongest possible terms, these barbaric acts and calls on the United States government to acknowledge the Sweida Massacre and to support efforts to ensure that those responsible are held accountable under international law.
Congratulations to Syria and its Christian community on this initiative. It is a much needed step toward organizing the Syrian Christian community to work together both inside Syria and across the diaspora to advocate for a secular Syria that treats all its citizens equally.
Founding is a step. What follows is the path.
Over the next six months, the Syrian Christian Congress will work to establish national committees across diaspora countries, expand its membership base, and prepare for the first General Assembly. Every member registered today is an active part of this path.

Happy Easter.
While many Christians around the world celebrate Easter, Syrian Christians are living in fear for their lives, as the transitional Syrian government is promoting Salafi dominance. Recent Jihadis have been demonstrating in Christian neighborhoods to instigate fear, under the protection of government forces.
We call on our government to reassess its support for the transitional Syrian authorities.
🚨Save Christians in Syria before it’s too late. Islamist mobs are surrounding the Christian city of Sqelbiyah. They attacked it yesterday, destroying shops and churches, vandalizing, and threatening to return again.

Syria this week:
• Alcohol banned in Damascus
• Islamist mobs attack a Christian city in front of security forces
• 3 opposition-leaning news networks banned

Iman Georges, a Christian teacher and mother from Homs, was shot and killed by an Islamist armed man.
When her family asked the police chief appointed by Ahmad al-Sharaa, he replied: “Our man thought she was Alawite.”!
If people can be killed based on suspected identity, no minority is safe.
Enforce UN Security Council Resolution 2254 and a real political transition — or open safe pathways for Syria’s Christians and other vulnerable communities.
AADS welcomes Senator @LindseyGrahamSC’s comments regarding the recent escalation in Syria. Kurdish forces remain among the most reliable allies in the fight against jihadist groups. Standing by our allies is essential to regional stability and shared security interests.

Verified video from Aleppo, Syria shows Islamist extremist linked to Jolani throwing a Kurdish woman from a high-rise building.
This is not an isolated incident—it reflects how minorities are being targeted.

AADSyria condemns the attack on the Greek Hospital in Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh, Aleppo, by terrorist groups—a grave crime against civilians and a clear violation of international humanitarian law.
We condemn the attack on the Greek Hospital in Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh, Aleppo, by terrorist groups—a grave crime against civilians and a clear violation of international humanitarian law.
Supporters of the Islamist Syrian government are launching a new wave of coordinated attacks against Alawite minority neighborhoods in western Syria, in full view of the Syrian government and police.
Assaults and destruction are taking place right now in Alawite areas.
The United States shouldn’t be part of promoting or whitewashing this crime and shame.
Troubled hearing from Syrian Alawites who describe peaceful protesters attacked with machetes & bullets by Damascus security forces & affiliated groups.
Praying for families of the 2 killed & for recovery of the over 50 injured.
Peaceful protest is not a crime.

The American Alliance for Syria (AADS) strongly condemns the grave crimes committed today against peaceful demonstrations in Syria’s coastal cities, particularly in Latakia, Tartous, Baniyas, and other areas, where civilian protesters were subjected to repression and assaults based on sectarian and ethnic grounds.
The AADSyria condemns the attack on the Alwite mosque in Homs. At least 8 innocent people were killed and another 18 badly injured. A group called “ Ansar Al Sunna” a jihadi group sponsored the attack.
At least 8 killed & 18 injured in bombing of mosque in Alawite neighborhood of Homs during Friday prayers.
Devastating to see violence continue in Syria—especially the targeting of a house of worship. Praying for peace & protection for all communities.

To say the video referenced in this article is disturbing would be a tremendous understatement.
While I support trying to help this new government in Syria, we have to do it with eyes wide open. There is mounting evidence that the Syrian Security Forces are more radical than they are being billed.
Israel is right to insist on security zones protecting not just Israel, but also minorities in Syria like the Druze.

The American Alliance for Democratic Syria strongly condemns the terrorist attack against our troops in Syria. This a reminder that terrorism needs to be eradicated, not only by military action, but by eliminating the Jihadi ideology behind it. Our sincere condolences to the families of the fallen soldiers.
