@realVincentTon religious person. He was claiming to be of God yet be hateful at the same time. This is paradoxical and it is also so in your example. Someone cannot love people and kill them at the same time. No matter how deluded they are.
@realVincentTon Jesus says to love your enemies and do good to those who hate you. Killing people is not “light” or love, it’s the opposite. Also against the sixth commandment. I agree with you though, and was the point of the original tweet. I actually wrote this tweet in response to a (1/x)
@realVincentTon killer because he believes him/herself to be a servant of the Lord, or whatever title fits, no I don’t. Then again, I don’t believe God is actually going to punish anyone.
@realVincentTon Responsibility in what way? He will face prosecution.
If you mean in a spiritual sense, the killer was obviously consumed by anger, hatred, and self righteousness. These attributes are punishments themselves.
If your question is actually do I believe God will not punish the
@Sean1mcW @Akustics @JustnBullington Exactly. Keep His commandments right? Jesus said to believe and love. Is this pastor loving people by condemning one specific sin? No. He’s just creating fear. I agree with your tweet completely.
@Sean1mcW @Akustics @JustnBullington I’m beginning to understand why the Hebrews wanted to go back to animal sacrifices. How can we rest in Christ’s sacrifice with pastors like this? What about the sins he struggles with? Oh no, he just chooses one sin only others struggle with.
@Philoso49014660 Then he just started insulting me after I made my claim, some of which are in the article you sent. I don’t think everyone wants truth. The evidence is there, just gotta be willing to accept it. Thanks for the article 👍🏻
@Philoso49014660 I completely agree. The entire universe appears to be designed. I just had this argument with an atheist on Quora. It got to the point that I needed more evidence to support the Big Bang. Like what? Is it not one of the most fundamental theories in physics?
@Philoso49014660 I completely agree. The New Covenant is what God promised us. The gospel message. Our faith is based on the event of Christ, not a book. Awesome post. 👏🏻
@LivingWaterrr Baptism means “to be placed into”. Is it more important to be placed into water or Christ? I would say the latter. Water baptism is just a proclamation of faith. God bless.
@realVincentTon The pencil was an example for Kant’s argument. The pencil does not possess the causality known as “the will” while humans do. Again, assumptions are needed for both arguments which doesn’t prove that either are true.
@realVincentTon It’s not necessarily false, but it is not necessarily true. The first premise has to be assumed, just like it has to be assumed when arguing free will.
@realVincentTon he or she does not have to satiate or not satiate that hunger, even though the state that person is would suggest that he or she would. Both arguments are valid but not true because the first premise must be assumed. We would have to completely understand consciousness.
@realVincentTon “The will”, according to Kant, is a causality that acts on its own. It has its own laws that it follows. It cannot be empirically proven or experienced. This will is exclusive to rational creatures. If i drop a pencil, it has to fall. If a human is starving
