Stop the lynching of old women on the suspicion of practicing witchcraft. Witch-hunting always targets older women living alone, impoverished, widowed or divorced. The patriarchal culture of blaming and lynching older women to oust them from their rightfully owned land must stop.

We remember the four women murdered two days ago in Kisii, we remember 90-year old Akuah Denteh lynched in 2020 in Ghana, we remember the thousands of women killed every other day in India and Tanzania on suspicions of practicing witchcraft.
