Madhya Pradesh: A train accident occurred in Morena after passengers travelling on the Udaipur Intercity Express jumped off the train following rumours of a fire. Several passengers were hit by the approaching Patalkot on the main track. The incident took place near Hetampur railway station in Morena. Further details are awaited.

ADSP Surendra Pratap Singh Dawar says, "At around 8:30 AM, information was received from the Sihonia police station that two people were shot and were referred to Morena for treatment. Both individuals died at the Morena hospital. According to initial investigations, the deaths were caused by gunshot wounds and unknown criminals were responsible for the shooting..."

ADM (Additional Collector) C.B. Prasad says, "We can't share too many details at this point, but it's confirmed that some anti-social elements opened fire. One person has died, and two others are injured. That's all we can confirm for now more information will be available later. Currently, the situation at the spot is normal. An FIR has been registered, and some arrests have been made through raids. The deceased's body is being taken for further procedures"
