My golden figured out how to climb the ladder on our above-ground pool when he was barely a year old, and he’s been helping himself in and out ever since. 😂
Anyone else’s golden do this, or is mine just a little weirdo?
Every Friday we break down one concept behind passive indexing and how SuiX works.
This week: the cost of doing nothing. The most expensive position in crypto might be the one you’re most comfortable in.

.@EmanAbio and @b1ackd0g are going live on X today to discuss last week's outages related to the 1.72 release.
They'll talk about what happened and the steps taken to restore the network.
Tune in at 3 PM PT.
Appreciate the transparency and the detailed post-mortem. After reading this, a thought came to mind.. if testnet had more realistic DeFi activity where projects could test real transaction routing, simulated volume, etc.. edge cases like this in the gas charging logic would most likely surface before mainnet upgrades ship. Might be worth investing in as the ecosystem grows. @EvanWeb3@EmanAbio
@EvanWeb3 Appreciate the accountability. As a network engineer, I know outages are unacceptable, but I do recognize they’re sometimes unavoidable in complex systems. The real test is transparency, ownership, and what gets learned so it doesn’t happen again. 🫡
Crazy past couple of days for me lol. On the 26th, my trading engine started throwing split_fees errors out of nowhere.
I spent way too long assuming I’d broken something, even though I hadn’t changed any code… Turns out it wasn’t on my side at all, but was related to the gas charging bug that led to the @SuiNetwork mainnet outage.
I think my takeaway from this is that I need to get better at looking at the bigger picture before disappearing down a rabbit hole for hours chasing ghosts.
Back to building. 🫡

This week: DeFi index funds aren’t new. But what makes Sui different changes everything.

The SuiX vaults had a failed rebalancing cycle this morning. Here's what actually happened under the hood.
@PythNetwork has been down 5+ hours. Both bluefin7k and flowx route through Pyth price feeds when building swap transactions, so neither trade could execute.
The rollback logic caught it automatically. Funds were swept back to the vault without any manual intervention. Nothing lost.
The rebalancer runs every 12 hours so the next cycle falls well after Pyth's recovery ETA. It'll just work.
Honestly a good stress test. The safety net did exactly what it was designed to do.
⚠️SuiX Vault Update
Rebalance cycle attempted to exit $MMT and enter $CETUS. Both trades failed due to an ongoing @PythNetwork Hermes outage.
Rollback executed successfully — all funds returned to vault. No funds at risk.
Next rebalance scheduled after Pyth's recovery ETA.
