@drewlevin@BreakAurelius@drewlevin I've got my DMs open if you want to talk off the timeline. no journalist traps, Iโm just a player who respects your work and effort. I know you have to debunk the "scheduled losses" strawman, but the real issue is using patented behavioral profiling to shape lobbies.
@drewlevin@BreakAurelius Listen Drew, I really like you. You're one of the good ones. I'd buy you a beer if I ever met you but when you say shit like that, but pretend the company you work for doesn't use EOMM to fuck people over, you're being dishonest with yourself. I get it. NDA'S suck. But cmon dude
@drewlevin@drewlevin Appreciate the open floor. Main concern is behavioral profiling dictating lobbies over skill. Per Riot's patent (Claims 16/17), honor/report data forms the team baseline before MMR is even factored. Competitive skill should be the foundation. [https://t.co/nv1du55Rja]
@drewlevin@xFSN_Saber Drew you are the fucking man lol. We appreciate you. Can riot just create an Ai version of you and have it monitor every ranked game lol? Jokes aside, thank you for what you do man.
@drewlevin@sauronsquidmain Genuine question: why can't riot just add a section to the league client where players can create the guides, like with Dota? Doesn't that just save you all the trouble?
@drewlevin I wish riot did it across every ranked bracket.
If I can climb solo queue Adc, I can do it again. But make all the inters and trolls race to gold and plat when they don't take their games seriously.
@drewlevin As much as I think Vanguard is basically Spyware, part of me is kinda glad that at least people like you (drew) are using hwid to connect surf accounts with their main accounts.
@drewlevin 7: This is exactly why inting is so prevalent and league and it's exactly why people are complaining to you that they're only recourse is to become toxic in chat. These two issues are extremely intertwined. If you get rid of inting, you get rid of toxic chat.
@drewlevin 9: also, sorry for the typos. I was using voice to text and I can't go back and edit my comments on Twitter unfortunately. But you understand the general gist. Anyway, thanks for all that you do. We as players always appreciate it.
@drewlevin 8: But it doesn't work the other way around. Getting rid of chat does not get rid of the inting. It actually makes it worse because you take away the only recourse that people have to feel in control of the situation.
@drewlevin 6: Unfortunately the low-hanging fruit is that people give up way too easily and decide that it's easier to feel more in control by intentionally trying to lose than by intentionally trying to win...
@drewlevin 5: The general idea is that people will generally react to situations that make them feel like they don't have control by trying to reestablish that sense of control by seeking validation or comfort and external forces...
@drewlevin 3: That has diminishing returns unfortunately. What people usually end up doing is trying ask players politely to stop eating or to stop dying and this usually just makes people get angry and rage...
