My Jersey, Your Impact! Oscar and Cheri have made a major impact on my life. They have always been there for me supported me and others in ways that many will never know. You both brighten our hallways in a way that the wax never could. Thank you for being Awesome!!!
A big shout out to the PH PTO for putting on a great fundraiser this year raising $42,637. The Hype Day reward was awesome. I had a couple of students select me to throw a pie at my face, I am a sticky mess, but it was worth it to see all these kids smile.
Thank you to Coach Smith for keeping the field in great shape, and allowing us the opportunity to take pride in our "home". This past Saturday a few of us came together and replaced the home plate and made some needed repairs to the batting cage.
What's the best part of September.... Fall Baseball of course and another opportunity to get back on the field and get better. I don't recall my stat line from yesterday's games I just know any day to play baseball is a great day! Also got time at Center and 1st Base.
Thank you to the Special Stars Baseball Clinic for hosting this event and giving those that may not be able to play the game I love on a traditional team the opportunity to get out and enjoy the game. And thank you for allowing all of the volunteers the opportunity to help out.
I love that our school allows the football team the opportunity to greet the elementary students as they get off the bus. All of the high fives and positive words from everyone reminds me how much living in a small community really is about the community.
I like using weighted plyo balls when warming up against a wall or pad. These help get things loose to help minimize the risk of injury. I also incorporate athletic movements to ensure not only my arm is awake, but my whole body is as well.
Putting in the work, Fall ball starts soon. In this practice session, I worked on seeing the ball coming from both right-handed and left-handed deliveries similarly to how a slider would cross the plate and driving to all fields.
