SEVEN YEARS LATER: RNC CHALLENGES JEAN PAUL TURAYISHIMIYE TO A PUBLIC DEBATE
For the past seven years, Rwandans who seek truth and justice have continued to ask one fundamental question: What happened to Ben Rutabana?
Instead of helping answer that question, @jpturayishimye Jean Paul Turayishimiye has recently embarked on a media campaign in which he seeks to shift attention away from his own actions, statements, and role in events surrounding Ben Rutabana’s disappearance by making accusations against Rwanda National Congress (RNC).
RNC categorically rejects these allegations.
We find it deeply troubling that Jean Paul Turayishimiye appears more interested in blaming others than in providing clear and consistent answers to the many questions that remain unresolved in this tragic case.
The Rwandan public deserves facts, not speculation. They deserve evidence, not narratives designed to confuse and mislead. Most importantly, they deserve an honest and transparent discussion about the circumstances surrounding Ben Rutabana’s disappearance.
For that reason, Rwanda National Congress (RNC) hereby formally invites Jean Paul Turayishimiye to participate in an open, live, and public debate.
This debate should be conducted before the public, independent media, and all interested observers. No subject should be off limits. Every claim should be examined. Every contradiction should be addressed. Every participant should have an equal opportunity to present facts and answer questions.
If Jean Paul Turayishimiye truly believes in the allegations he is making, he should have no hesitation accepting this invitation.
RNC is ready for an open and public debate at any time, on any credible platform, before any independent moderator.
RNC hereby extends an open invitation to Jean Paul Turayishimiye to participate in a public debate on the Ben Rutabana case and the allegations recently made against RNC.
@jpturayishimye, If your allegations are true, present your evidence.
If your version of events is accurate, defend it before the public.
If you seek the truth, join the debate.
The Rwandan people are watching.
Jean Paul Turayishimiye, will you accept?
