@PoopJohnson6969 @sac92310 @mattbramanti There's usually at least 5 other sales guys all wanting figures so you're not always first in line, the pissing about was finance related which are 90% of deals done, obviously cash would be simpler in general but they won't give away all the profit if they don't have to
@degenzouradam @sac92310 @mattbramanti When i was selling the used generally had 1200 profit on the average car when they first hit the forecourt, longer they are there the lower that gets though but the ones I worked in generally didn't make much on the car, more on the add ons
@Jorrdan26 @sac92310 @mattbramanti Generally they'll always agree eventually, couldn't really afford to lose the sale but there's always a point where they just can't authorise having it go for that price
@degenzouradam @sac92310 @mattbramanti I personally always did ask, so long as it was reasonable and something I thought they'd be willing to do, depends how sales guys commission is structured, per car you don't care about the price, % of profit then you'd want to keep the price up yourself
@sac92310 @mattbramanti They literally do consult the manager, sold cars for 3 years, manager had the only say on pricing, as a salesman I had zero input on pricing, only job is to try and close whatever offer I'm given to present to the customer
