Maata Ateker! Historic moment! We must stand together for our people. 38 cattle, 13 donkeys, and two guns stolen and raided by the Nyangatom of South Sudan have been recovered and returned to their owners on 24/09/2024. May peace prevail for Ateker. Peace begins with a smile.

Maata Ateker! At Lokamarinyang, five cattle stolen from the Nyangatom by Turkana youth were returned to their rightful owners from Nyangatom, Ethiopia. I had the opportunity to interact with the Turkana County Commander and was interviewed by KTN & Citizen TV during the handover.

A three-day capacity-building training for Livestock Marketing Associations (LMAs) and Beach Management Units (BMUs) commenced in the Kangaten Turkana-Nyangatom-Dassenach corridor, organized under USAID's Cross-Border Community Resilience Activity and implemented by the IPC.
