The two sounds cursed by the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) are:
The sound of a flute (or musical instruments) at a time of celebration/joy/blessing (مِزْمَارٌ عِنْدَ نِعْمَةٍ — mizmar at a time of ni'mah).
Wailing (or screaming/lamenting) at a time of calamity (رَنَّةٌ عِنْدَ مُصِيبَةٍ — ranna at a time of musibah).
Key Hadith Reference
Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said,
“Two voices are cursed in this world and in the Hereafter: a flute at a time of celebration, and wailing at a time of calamity.”
