Every spring, @ABAA49 takes over Park Avenue Armory for the world’s premier antiquarian book fair. April 30–May 3. Over the years some of my best conversations have happened there, with dealers who know their books and maps the way scholars know their subjects. And the Armory’s drill hall is one of the great rooms in New York. Worth the visit for that alone.
