With generous funding from the Italian Embassy in Zimbabwe, ABC is participating at the 2023 Macfrut in Italy. Clear learning points, business leads and actions to work on back home.
Collaboration is also through the @ABCGokwe social business enterprises that supports the commercial production, processing & marketing of chilli, bambara nuts, groundnuts, sunflower etc through organised farmer groups, commodity association & a registered cooperative.

The popularity of the Zimbabwean🇿🇼 chilli crop has created opportunities for small-scale producers. With the support of @euinzim in projects like @ABCGokwe & @Scope4Ivc, we have helped chilli producers in Gokwe with knowledge on how to increase their yield and secure markets.
The ABC, through the Farmers in Action cooperative, contracted close to 4000 farmers for sunflower production in #Gokwe south. The crops look excellent and a good harvest is expected. The product is processed locally into high grade oil. @WHH_Zimbabwe@euinzim@MoLAFWRD_Zim

Brenda Guvamombe and her husband (pictured) were trained in agribusiness practices under the @euinzim-funded @ABCGokwe project. Rearing & selling small livestock like goats has helped participants like Brenda bridge the resource gap at the household and community level.
Under the @WorldBank-funded @ZIRP_Zimbabwe, @Welthungerhilfe has helped cyclone-affected communities in Chimanimani with WASH infrastructure like piped water schemes & school toilets. World Bank director @BeleteNathan & his team visited some of the supported areas this week.

With support from @euinzim, our @ABCGokwe project has helped peanut farmers in Gokwe South secure a good return for their crop by processing it into peanut butter. It's sold in urban areas as far as @cohsunshinecity , where prices & demand guarantee a better profit.
@daddyhope Great observation. That is what the Agricultura Business Center is doing in Gokwe. We plan to expand to Murewa/Mutoko next year. Mind however that not all varieties are suitable for drying.
For @Welthungerhilfe, #ZimFoodFest 🇿🇼 is not just a showcase & taste fest, it's also a market. Our @ABCGokwe team has some great local products that add flavour & variety to just about any meal.
With the support of @euinzim & @molafwrd_zim we have promoted poultry production in various projects like @ZAGPInfo's @IPVCZim &@ABCGokwe. The successful adoption of the value chain has helped steer many communities from hunger & secure income streams.
“While my fellow pastors in cities are being taken care of by the congregants, it's a different case for me. I'm able to take care of my family without the help of congregants”.Gilton Zipombe is a pastor in Gokwe. He started farming to grow his income & become self-sufficient.
Through the @euinzim funded @ABCGokwe project, he received training on entrepreneurship. He applied his skills on the land he had, venturing into horticulture. He specialised in cabbages, tomatoes & onions which earn revenue for him and complement his family's food supplies.
The @ABCGokwe project also facilitated a small loan for Shallom and other participants. Shallom's success has earned her accolades & has also meant an improved quality of life for her, marked by a significant shift in her financial outcomes and better nutrition for her family.
