Standing with fire victims in Kamukunji
Today we delivered food, bedding and cash grants to some 100 families from Kiambiu in Eastleigh South ward, and from Kinyago and Kanuku in California ward.
Last week, devastating fires tore through these neighbourhoods and destroyed their homes. They lost everything except the clothes they were wearing.
Losing a home also means losing the papers that prove who you are. Working with the NRB Kamukunji office, we will help the affected families replace birth certificates, national IDs and other vital documents so they can rebuild their lives without further hardship.
This is not an isolated tragedy. Fires now break out in Kamukunji almost every week, wiping out homes, businesses and livelihoods. My great constituents deserve answers. I call on the police and the relevant authorities to urgently investigate the causes of these fires and to take firm action to prevent them.
@MPyusufhassan Thank you&We trust you as our representative there coz we have confindence in you coz your vote has never been against Kenyan's will you always STAND with Kenyans..#Kiongozi Mchapa kazi..
