Speaking of, I really just miss seeing Rovio’s “behind the scenes” work. It shows that they had so many interesting ideas and the process of them becoming real sometimes.
I miss when Rovio used to be so genuine with their art. The image below is literally a sketch for a social media post for Bad Piggies back in 2012. Not for a comic or a game, but for an image on a website and that’s it.
What happened to them?
I feel like some Angry Birds Seasons episodes were so goofy. Like who is saying, “Aw yes. My favorite seasons are magic, the NBA, Mary Antoinette, and Hollywood movies”…
Y’all remember when Rovio was about to drop Bad Piggies 2 and the community was hyped about the game but mixed about the designs? Then literally NOTHING came of it… Definitely an era for Rovio.
Among other things, I don’t understand what was so wrong with the original way Silver was designed in Angry Birds 2 that they had to deviate to a game version of her movie design for Reloaded. The original just looks better and fits the Angry Birds world much more in my opinion.
🦜🧠 Think you know your birds?

I’ve always loved how Rovio went about releasing Angry Birds Star Wars media, especially these two images. The detail and realistic nature depicts actual movie posters, which is such cool attribute allowed. It really wouldn’t have worked for any other game.
I seriously don’t get why Rovio altered Hal’s design so much throughout the years. Most of the birds have consistent designs, but to this day, almost every Angry Birds title differs in Hal’s portrayal. I think the only thing that has stayed is his massive beak.
At this point in the franchise, can someone tell me if the birds are still angry? I’m so for real because it seems like a lot of newer promotional materials for the games make them seem happy and not at all pissed off.
The second movie felt so disconnected from what I was used to. It truly felt like its own thing and they just slapped the brand name on it. The birds were only irritated, and the pigs were reduced to dry side characters. Is it too much to remind Rovio where they came from?
I see people trying to stay optimistic in hopes that there will be more to the storyline than Red being a dad. Personally, I just hope that it will return to the game’s roots in some way. Whether that is implementing space or not, as long as it feels like “Angry Birds”, man.
Well, the news is out about the third movie. Honestly, I’m not totally surprised but still disappointed. How can this franchise get this bad? What even is “Angry Birds” anymore???

Not sure about you guys, but I treated these books like they were literal gold back in the day. Barely touched them because I didn’t want to ruin the artwork inside with my terrible coloring skills lmao.
