I think almost everything that can be said about Eileen Gu and Alysa Liu has already been said, but when I step back and look at the full picture, I keep getting blown away by how reality handed us a script far more perfect than anything fiction could invent.

On one side, you have the cold, elitist “I’m the most decorated” athlete, raised in one of the wealthiest and most exclusive neighborhoods in the country, Sea Cliff, who gladly sold out the country that gave her everything in order to became the PR face of a brutal dictatorship in exchange for a few suitcases of cash. On the other side, you have the happy-go-lucky, “That’s what I’m fucking talking about” girl from working-class Richmond, coerced by Communist Party operatives, refusing to bow to them, and proudly representing the United States. And that does not even begin to touch on the tortuous path Alysa’s father had in getting to the United States, compared with the easy route taken by Eileen’s mother, or the many other layers of this story.

And then, perfectly, one wins both her competitions and the other loses both. If anyone tried to make a movie out of this story, no one would believe it.

“I keep hearing that Israel "lost the PR war."
And you know what? Fine. Sure. Whatever.
The world thinks we're monsters. The UN passed over 30 resolutions condemning us. College campuses exploded with protests. "Genocide" trended on Twitter for 700 days straight.

We lost the PR war. Congratulations to everyone who won it.

Now let me tell you what we won instead.
Two years ago, my country was surrounded. Hezbollah had 150,000 rockets aimed at us from the north. Hamas controlled Gaza with an army in tunnels beneath it. Iran was months from a nuclear weapon. The Houthis were firing missiles at our ships. Assad's Syria was an Iranian highway. Iraqi militias were itching for war.

We called it the "ring of fire." Iran spent 40 years building it.

Billions of dollars. Endless weapons. Thousands of fighters. All of it designed for one purpose: to destroy Israel in a coordinated attack.
October 7th was supposed to be the beginning. Hamas attacks from the south, Hezbollah from the north, militias from the east, Houthis from the sea. The final war.

You know what happened instead?
Israel dismantled the entire thing. Piece by piece. Threat by threat.
Not in some distant future. Not "eventually." In two years.

Nasrallah spent 32 years building Hezbollah into the most powerful non-state military in the world. Israel killed him in his bunker and took out his entire command structure in weeks.
Hezbollah isn't weakened. It's finished.

Iran built a nuclear program for decades. Israel set it back years. Killed their top scientists. Destroyed their facilities. Made the regime so weak that its own people are revolting.

Assad survived a civil war, Russian intervention, and American strikes. He couldn't survive losing his Iranian backers. His regime collapsed. The land bridge is gone.

The Houthis thought they could close the Red Sea. Israel crippled their long-range capabilities and neutralized the threat.

Hamas? Sinwar died in rubble clutching a stick. Haniyeh was eliminated in Tehran. Deif is gone. The tunnels are destroyed. And this week, Hamas agreed to a ceasefire and the release of all hostages.

Read that again. The terrorist organization that started this war by massacring 1,200 people just agreed to release every hostage and accept a ceasefire on Israel's terms.

So yeah. We lost the PR war. I'll take that loss.
Because here's what we gained:

My kids don't have to run to bomb shelters anymore. The north is being rebuilt. Hezbollah's rockets are gone. Iran's nuclear threat has been pushed back years. The tunnels under Gaza are rubble. The "ring of fire" is extinguished.

And now? The hostages are coming home. There's a ceasefire. The fighting can finally end.
Two years ago, we were facing an existential threat. Today, we're the dominant power in the Middle East.

Here's the thing about the "PR war" - it's a luxury. It's what people with security worry about. It's optics. It's perception. It's whether someone with a blue checkmark likes you.

Israel doesn't have that luxury. We never did.
When people scream "genocide," we're preventing one. When they cry "disproportionate," we're stopping rockets. When they demand "ceasefire," we're rescuing hostages.

While the world was busy judging us, we were busy surviving.

And not just surviving. Winning. Fundamentally, decisively, historically winning.

Iran's 40-year plan to surround and destroy Israel? Over. The axis of resistance? Shattered. The greatest coordinated threat in our history? Defeated.

So let me ask you something:
Would you rather win the PR war and lose your country? Or lose the PR war and secure your existence for the next 50 years?
Because that's the actual choice.
And Israel made it. Again.
The world can have its hashtags. We'll take our sovereignty.
They can have their protests. We'll take our security.

The way Greta effortlessly transitioned from telling us the world was about to explode in 3 years due to global warming to then paddling around the Mediterranean wasting diesel fuel on a selfie yacht for Gaza really proves that so much of modern leftism is just incoherent hysteria and babbling.

The only consistent through line for Greta’s politics is white leftist guilt and self-loathing. A hatred for Western civilisation.

For years she demanded that we completely deindustrialise and make ourselves poor based on her whims. The entire Western world was supposed to deindustrialise and therefore forsake economic development and all global influence to placate the tantrums of a random Swedish girl. The whole intent was only ever to make the West poor based on historical guilt - she always ignored the fact that the bulk of new emissions came from newly industrialising powers in Asia.

Then, strangely, she suddenly seemed to forget about all this to instead obsessively campaign on the issue of Gaza, screeching at us that we should all feel constantly guilty and whip ourselves because a foreign Islamic terrorist group started a regional war against a much stronger power then comprehensively lost it.

The urgency of global warming - the fact that the world was supposedly going to completely disintegrate by 2025 unless Greta got her way - was suddenly supplanted by the urgency of a tiny regional conflict started by a retarded Islamic terrorist group with no strategy other than to massacre and rape a bunch of Jewish teenagers at a music festival before asking Israel for an immediate ceasefire.

No understanding of cause and effect. No understanding of second order thinking.

Look at how many Hamas political leaders and media operatives celebrated the horrific race massacre of Jews on October 7. Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh (now dearly departed) took to Arab television to screech “WE NEED THE BLOOD OF PALESTINIAN CHILDREN AND GRANDMOTHERS TO AWAKEN THE PEOPLE AGAINST THE YAHUD!!!” This was the extent of their military strategy, just immediately screeching about the need for their own people to be killed so that in the immortal words of Ilhan Omar, Allah would awaken the people against Israel hypnotising the world or something. A three year old could tell you that it was all fucking retarded.

Why must we all whip ourselves with guilt because retarded Palestinian militant leaders can’t understand second order thinking? Why must we all whip ourselves because Hamas leaders are literally mentally retarded? Nobody knows. Nobody can ever explain it. But Greta demands it with her tantrums.

The entire task of Greta Thunberg - the central animating force of her entire politics - is white leftist self-loathing and guilt. Brainwashed from a young age by her leftist activist parents. Taught to hate her own culture and civilisation. Which is why she was so effortlessly able to transition from incoherent babbling about the necessity for the West to deindustrialise to screeching on behalf of a random foreign Islamic terrorist group in a regional conflict.

The West must deindustrialise and Hamas should be allowed to massacre and rape Jewish teenagers at music festivals with no consequences, because they are white settler colonists or something. That’s the sum total of Greta’s politics. It’s all extremely sad. It’s all extremely hysterical and pointless.
