One of the biggest mistakes we made is to allow the partition of the subcontinent. Partition turned a subcontinent of great possibilities into an island nation. Economically, culturally and as a people, we have paid a terrible price. It is time that all nations of the region realize that if we want wellbeing, we must work as one. Borders are meant for administrative purposes. They are not a reason to wage wars – holy or otherwise. -Sg

Isha Vidhya students celebrated Aadi Perukku today, August 3rd, in full splendor. Aadi Perukku is a festival to express our gratitude for the monsoon season and water's life-nourishing properties.
The students were dressed in vibrant traditional clothes as they enthusiastically performed the traditional Kummi dance. This was followed by Mulapari — a ritual in which Navadhanyam (nine different types of grains) are carried to a water body, in the presence of Amman — the goddess of rain.
