Had to visit a car mechanic in Lahore and he took 4k for 40minutes labour.
We Pakistanis will pay 4k to a car mechanic to get their cars fixed but they’ll cry while paying the same money to a qualified doctor with years of training for their own health.

Token number exceeding 800 when I left the ER at 8:40 pm. And next 3 hours are also peak rush hours. Do you think these 1000 patients/day need emergency services? Absolutely not. 70-80% of them are OPD cases but who cares.

Their struggle reminds me of Nazim Jokhio’s case, where an entire village was pressured to boycott his wife because she refused to accept diyat. She was left isolated, with little support and no real protection from the system.

This is the tragedy of Sindh.. whether you are from Karachi or any other part of the province, ordinary families are too often left to fight for justice on their own.

I still remember when Murtaza Wahab (@murtazawahab1) personally went to the airport to receive PPP MNA Jam Abdul Karim, a main culprit in the Nazim Jokhio murder case, and drove him straight to the Sindh High Court to secure protective pre-arrest bail. That image says a lot about how power works in Sindh.

There is inadequate security for doctors in hospitals leaving us vulnerable to mob violence and other threats on a daily basis We have repeatedly appealed to the government to address this serious issue but our concerns continue to be ignored.

we need a policy to ban attendants from mobile phone usage inside hospitals. Complaints should be brought through proper channel i.e. DMS/ MS. Only then will we able to curb this rising tide of violence against doctors

Govt. should shut down OPDs because everyone wants OPD treatment(including elective procedures, investigations etc) in the ER and when properly counselled, they start threatening and filming on duty doctors.
I have personally faced this behavior.
