The 400-acre MSU AgBioResearch Corey Marsh Ecological Research Center serves as a hub for scientific research in natural resource restoration and management.
This study documents shocking declines of birds in NA. But read beyond the title and see that one of the key findings in this study is that with correct actions we can do something to begin to turn this around. Let this spur humans to take action. #bringbirdsback
We had a great time representing @MSUEntomology at the @ABR_CMERC BioBlitz on Saturday! Special thanks to John Stone, @zavalnitskaya, Gary Parsons, and Brenna Jeffs for their hard work!
Join us in documenting as many species as possible at the
Corey Marsh Ecological Research Center! The Michigan State
Bird Observatory will be capturing and banding birds.
Corey Marsh is located at 9422 Herbison Rd, Laingsburg, MI.

We hosted our first Bioblitz at Corey Marsh! We are still tallying up the results, but so far we are at 188 species (and counting!) Mark your calendars for a larger BioBlitz at Corey Marsh on September 14th! #MSUFW@ARWarwick@jen_owen1@MSUAgBio
Visitors of all ages visited CMERC for @MSUSciFest and learned how scientists study CWD in deer, health of migratory landbirds, and ways birds transport ticks. And they all just enjoyed exploring the beautiful Corey Marsh. @MSUAgBio@CANRatMSU
We open for spring on April 23! We will be open through May 25, six days per week (weather permitting). On Tues/Thurs/Sat we will band at BULA, and on Wed/Fri/Sun you can join us at @ABR_CMERC. Email [email protected] to schedule your group visit today!
Last summer, the Michigan State Bird Observatory began bird banding at CMERC to document our avian biodiversity. Check out our species list at https://t.co/17QQcrLd4n!

We are excited to continue hosting bird banding activities by the Michigan State Bird Observatory (MSBO) this year! CMERC has 10 mist nets right next to our Bird Banding Barn, which offers indoor accommodations for MSBO staff and visitors.
We are excited to announce the formation of the Michigan State Bird Observatory, an umbrella organization that encompasses bird banding and outreach at BULA and our new second location, Corey Marsh Ecological Research Center (@ABR_CMERC). See https://t.co/SMEP5SpcOX for more!
Come out and enjoy the winter scenery! Visitors are welcome to walk the trails at Corey Marsh Ecological Research Center. Please follow signs for parking off the road east of the gate. Please note that pets are not permitted west of the gate.
