ABTC CEO Ryan Melsert is in New York City this week, by invitation of the Consulate General of India, to deliver a keynote address at the Third Edition of the Green Growth Investor Series, a mission-led platform that bridges policy, innovation, and investment across India, the United States, Israel, and the United Arab Emirates.

The Series convenes global investors, operators, and policymakers to advance scalable solutions in clean energy, the circular economy, and critical minerals. It represents a forum in which capital formation and commercialization strategy intersect with the infrastructure decisions that will define the energy transition.

We have won our appeal with the U.S. Department of Energy, securing full reinstatement of our competitive grant award supporting our $115 million Tonopah Flats commercial-scale lithium refinery project.

Reinstatement advances our Tonopah Flats Lithium Project — one of the largest identified critical mineral lithium resources in the United States — reinforcing domestic battery materials supply chains and strengthening U.S. national energy security. The grant has been reinstated in its entirety, with no change to awarded funds or contracted technical and commercial milestones.

"We are proud of our long-standing partnership with the @ENERGY, and are grateful that after rigorous due diligence it has concluded that this critical mineral lithium refinery project has achieved all of its contracted technical and commercial milestones to date, and that continued federal support of this project is warranted," said CEO Ryan Melsert.

Melsert added: "We consider the U.S. Department of Energy one of our closest long-term partners and look forward to continuing to work with them across multiple Administrations to advance domestic critical mineral projects."

For five years strong, ABTC has been proud to support the Nevada State Mining Championships at Jim Butler Days in Tonopah. This annual festival is more than a celebration — it's a living tribute to the town's founding, deep mining roots, and a community spirit that's hard to find anywhere else.

This connection means even more to us because Tonopah is home to our Tonopah Flats Lithium Project located about 5 miles west of town in Big Smoky Valley, primarily in Esmeralda County, and ranks among the largest known lithium claystone deposits in the United States. Here, we're advancing the development of our lithium claystone resource together with an associated claystone-to-lithium hydroxide refinery. With its robust economic potential and strategic importance, the project stands as a cornerstone of the domestic critical mineral lithium supply chain — positioned to help strengthen a secure domestic supply of critical minerals while creating skilled jobs and new opportunities for the region.

We’re excited to share that we have achieved record-breaking results and our first-ever positive gross margin in Q3 FY2026! Our revenue grew an incredible 64% quarter-over-quarter while cost of goods sold increased only 11% over this same period.

As one of the dominant critical mineral recyclers in the U.S., we significantly ramped and streamlined operations at our Nevada battery recycling facility and this substantial growth in the throughput has allowed us to capitalize on strong market conditions.

Our CEO, Ryan Melsert, shared insights on advanced manufacturing at this year's Battery Show South and at the C2ES Southeast Regional Summit.

A highlight of the day was the unveiling of the C2ES Policy Roadmap during the Plenary Panel at the Southeast Regional Summit. This roadmap outlines strategic steps to secure critical battery materials in the Southeast and is available on the C2ES website.

While Ryan engaged with industry leaders on stage, he and members of the team also worked diligently behind the scenes. We used our time in the region to advance plans for our second battery recycling facility, which will be located in the Southeast US.

This new plant represents a massive step forward for our operational scale. Once completed, the facility will utilize our internally developed technologies and is currently designed to be approximately five times the capacity of our first recycling plant located outside of Reno, Nevada. This expansion will significantly boost our ability to process end-of-life batteries and return critical materials back into the manufacturing cycle.

Used lithium-ion batteries shouldn’t be tossed in the trash or curbside bins, where they can ignite or leak toxins, endangering people and the environment. These batteries also contain critical metals needed for new batteries. Recycling them keeps these resources in use, reducing pollution while supporting a circular economy. Every battery you recycle through our program helps build a cleaner, more resilient future.

Through our partnership with The Battery Network (formerly Call2Recycle), used lithium-ion batteries collected at drop-off sites across the U.S. are transported to ABTC and other recycling partners' battery recycling plants. There, our innovative, closed-loop process extracts lithium, cobalt, nickel, manganese and other critical minerals.

Before you recycle, follow these tips to stay safe:
● Tape or bag terminals: Cover positive and negative ends with clear tape or put each battery in a plastic bag. This prevents sparks during storage and transport.
● Store properly: Keep used batteries cool, dry, and away from anything flammable.
● Don’t trash old batteries: Never toss lithium-ion cells in household garbage or curbside bins.
● Handle damaged cells carefully: If a battery is bulging, leaking, or hot, treat it as hazardous (and contact your local hazardous waste program).
